My go-to primary kitgun is a Sporelacer with the Tremor grip, and I thought the Tombfinger is good as both primary or secondary
Otherwise, kitguns in general are all decent. Personally, I prefer Gaze and Tombfinger - but it's down to personal preference really. I don't recommend looking up builds - 90% of them (including recent ones) are bad. 90% of YouTubers offer bad advice... albeit if you're not interested in just learning how to make your own good builds, KnightmareFrame is one of the few YouTubers that does actually know what he's talking about. (Though I don't know whether he has anything on Kitguns)
rattleguts chamber can be either a status hose if you go for large mag, high status, high rate of fire.
or, it can be a pretty nice crit gun that may not necessarily excel against high level enemies, but its characteristics are perfect for 1-shotting lower level enemies. especially with punchthrough.
since you may not know this, i highly recommend you check out the kitgun arcanes. they can change (or accommodate) your playstyle in different ways.
"pax charge" for instance will change the ammo handling to behave like archguns, so the mag recharges itself and you can never run out of ammo.
also, keep in mind that kitgun chambers will behave quite different depending on if the constructed weapon is a primary or a secondary, so it is not simply a "slot" consideration.
