Is Mag Prime worth the plat?

I started with mag, but sold her at some point in my journey and I've been really missing her kit. I've seen most sellers selling her for around 200 plat, but thats alot for a single frame... but I do have enough. Would you guys say its worth it?

You could refarm the normal Mag and see if you still like her playstyle. If it doesn't click with you, you have the option to feed the normal Mag to the Helminth to unlock Mag's Pull ability to be used on other frames.

If you shop around on warframe.market you can probably get it for cheaper than that.

Honestly, I'd say that she's kinda low on the priority list... But she was my first frame, and yes, I got mag prime in the end too.

If you're planning on playing long enough to get every prime frame? Are you okay for warframe and weapon slots? Do you have a reasonable platinum income method?

If the answer to all three is yes... Or if you just really want it? Go for it. It's just play money, it's not useful if you don't spend it on something, so spend it on something you want... Probably not the best investment, but hey? Why care?

Honestly, depends on how much you like her. With over 1800 hours she is my most played, and I am pretty much invincible in Steel Path. Granted I haven't done multiple hour long survivals with her, because I find that boring honestly, so she may be useless there. But I would recommend looking through your relics and see if you have any of her parts in there.

I would build normal Mag and wait for Mag Prime to be unvaulted. Then get her from the unvaulted relics. Unvaulting also means a big price drop since the parts are available again. So even if you don't have the time or forget to play or something, after the unvaulting she will be a lot cheaper. That's what I would do.

Get some cool cosmetics with the plat.

If you want to judge for yourself, think about the difference between any of the other frames and their prime version. Is that worth the plat to you? If yes, go for it. Otherwise wait for the unvaulting.

Mag hasn't been unvaulted in a long time.
I predict the next unvaulting after Rhino and Nyx will contain Mag.

Mag is one of my favorites even after all the years and new additions. But only spend if you either have lots of funds or know you want it badly; prime frames are only marginally better than normal ones, and you won't know the difference unless its your primary frame used for the hardest levels of content.

200 plat isn't much for a frame you like.

Although maybe you should stick to the base version considering 200p is a substantial sum for you (to the point where you have to ask forums).

You could get a much better deal than that.

Ultimately, value is whatever you place on your time. You could easily get it for free if you waited and farmed for it.

But if you are into the game now, and you know you enjoy Mag, and you have spare platinum, then yes. She is worth it.

I have been very VERY frugal with my platinum, as a result, I have a massive pool of the stuff, Scrooge Mcduck levels, and very very rarely have I ever spent it. Which is silly, as I have taken several breaks from this game, never knowing if I will be back.

I didn't spend money to get this fortune, so I wasn't afraid I'd lost my money or something. However, it was a resource there to make my life easier that I was seldom using.

Getting the fun right now, for a decent price range like that, and the Mastery Points, and to honor one of the starter frames...sounds like it would be worth it to me.

But only you can decide how much value the platinum has for you. How hard did you work for it, is there something else you want more that was also vaulted, do you need a rare mod instead? All options to weigh.

But fun is worth every penny in my book.

I'd say the only time a frame is worth plat is if a prime is vaulted and you're missing parts for it and they're being sold on the warframe market by other players.

Also I could understand someone buying base Ash because his systems is horrible to farm for.

YES, she is underrated and overhated. she'll take you from lvl 1 to 9k if oyu know how to build her. which is quite easy to do.
