New Waverider Quest

Stuck on achieving a Tail Spinja X5, No matter what combination of "S" "Left Mouse" and "Space" I use, I cannot get one down O.o This means i'm stuck on Page 4 of this quest... Any help?

UPDATE: Changing Refresh Rate/FPS Limit to "No Limit" Will allow you to use space during tricks. Fixed for me :D

I've had the controls jam on me during the quest. Try jumping off the board, re-mounting and trying again. Also, make sure your gun isn't drawn (press F to put it away)... Having your gun out stops you from using left click to trick.

Just tried, my frame grabs the rear end of the board and spins, in the air, but it only counts as a tail clutch, not a spinja

Interesting, now that I'm past that quest, I'm getting something of the same issue...

But! Try this, jump, hold S and left button, mash space... You should get two or three out before landing. Make sure to land on your feet. That might work. The first one should count as a spinja, last one as a tail clutch. (it's something to do with when you release the board)

If you have trouble with this, jump from the high ledge behind Fortuna, press S + left mouse and then press space once and make sure you land safely. If you have a crafted k-drive the ventkids mod for high jumps helps a lot. I had trouble with this too but managed to do it with some practice. If you do the second method stand in an open space and just do a charged jump (keep space pressed a few seconds the release it) and while in the air press S+LMB then a quick press on space and quick release all buttons to land safely. Keep in mind that if you press anything else it may become a different move.

For some of the "grabs" or tricks that involve doing a grab and then doing a trick, one thing that helps is after you press the direction, release direction. It will maintain the grab and then when you try the trick, it will count as the specific trick. Or when you press the new modifier and then hit a new direction it will count as the trick.

So hold left mouse, tap s and release s. Continuing holding left mouse and tap space.

Not sure if that is exactly what it is asking for but that might be part of it. Holding the direction may be causing a trick variant that doesn't count.

Thanks to everyone who has attempted to help thus far, but still no luck.

FYI I know how to use a K-Drive, I currently have two maxed out with 8 maxxed out mods in, including double jump etc.

I have tried ALL combinations of S, Left Click and Space multiple times, No Spinja.

JHarlequin, your suggestion of releasing S allowed the continuation of the Tail Clutch, sometimes. But then when pressing space, it returns to normal, no spin.

When I press all 3 buttons at the same time I do, what to me looks like a Spinja, but doesnt count as one, just a Tail Clutch... :/

So it's safe to assume that you are using one of these maxed K-drives, right? I ask because on the official forums people found out that using a K-drive that had a skin and was modded was causing them trouble with the quest. Maybe try just a basic unmodded K-drive? Nothing to lose for trying it, I suppose.

I had maxed my daily for vent kids so I took a break and came back now to do this one. While trying it, the release and hit space either just wiggled or released the grab so it wasn't just a normal grab trick.

It is working for me to Hold left click or well the board grab button, then hold S and finally hit space after. Hold s until the spin finishes and then release all. But I don't know if that will work. Try again when you have time and if it doesn't work, then maybe contact support as the trick or it tracking that you did the trick might not be working.

It did also have weird results. Usually it would do the grab and continue moving forward, but sometimes it would start turning me around because it is the movement button for the trick.

(Edit: narrowed down when the s button would turn me and when it wouldn't. If I had toggled on sprint, then tapping or holding s would turn me and change up the trick. So try it while not at full speed and not using sprint maybe.)

I apparently "accidentally" acquired 1/5, cannot replicate it again O.o Still trying and have had an official forum post up for 7 hours, with no replies

It will not allow me to do this trick, even if I hold a Tail Clutch and press space (Sometimes spammed) It doesnt count as a Tail Spinja

The menu of the quest literally tells you what buttons you need to press, it's not a bug, it's not glitched, you're just doing it wrong. Really impressive, considering the game throws at your face exactly what you need to do.

Same here... no matter what combination and order I press those keys in, it's always just a "Tail Clutch". Even tried it with an XBox Controller. Grab tail, spin around --> Tail Clutch.
Tried a fully modded and unmodded K-Drive.

I did... I tried it while standing still, moving forward with or without sprint, even while moving backwards.
Someone on the Warframe Forums has the same problem and submitted it as bug, so hopefully it is fixed soon.
