Depending on the brand of your mouse, they sometimes have their own dpi settings. For example Logitech mice have "Logitech Options" which allows you to configure the mouse buttons and also includes dpi settings.

not 100 procent sure if its the same case but my sensitivity skyrockets in full screen. the problem is gone when using borderless fullscreen. maybe that works for you too

This is why people use a lower dpi it has a smaller multiplier, the only other way would be to find the sens in the files and edit it there.

im pretty sure if you just go into the ingame settings you can change your sensitivity there.

then apologies, i skimmed the post since it was over dramatic to a significant degree. your options are either get used to the warframe sensitivity or adjust your normal mouse sensitivity when booting up the game

Lower your DPI?
ComeToDie Jun 27, 2021 @ 11:32am

Not sure if you mean through software or hardware, but not every mouse has a dpi button. Mine for instance, does not.

You can adjust in through windows, type mouse in the search bar and then select mouse settings/additional mouse options.

If windows mouse acceleration is on and cranked up that will be the root cause of this issue.

pretty much every gaming mouse these days comes with software to alter key bindings and sensitivity/DPI - unless you got a $5 mouse off Amazon

Shouldn't need to lower your dpi for a game, this is the fault of the devs and falls under bad accessibility design.

My dpi is under 1000 and my in game mouse sensitivity setting is set to 1 / 100
