Best support Sentinal..
Ive seen many videos of ppl saying Carrier, Wyrm and Helios are the best but all these are like 2 years old. Did anything change in the Sentinal meta or is Carrier, Wyrm and Helios Prime still the best Sentinals?

Just use Smeeta Kavat. You get double loot, crits and much more.

Support for combat or just to do whatever?
If combat, I would recommend Djinn. It's the only one that can get Reawaken. Unlike pets, sentinels are almost impossible to heal back up and will die in higher level content. A dead sentinel contributes nothing.

For whatever, I use Oxylus. It can both scan for fish in open zones and pick plants while I do missions. It's only really viable on my stealth frames though. Otherwise will just die to AoE and be useless, like almost every other sentinel.

Completely agree with what has been said already here.

Oxylus is a great "support" in that it provides great utility in open world maps, helps you collect plants, some fun extras.

Smeeta Kavat is one of the better battle companions. It can be revived, cuts down the grind for resources, fairly insane HP when paired with a Warframe like Inaros (but thats any breathing pet)

I go with a sly - never dies, smeeta - lots of buffs to attacks and loot, or helios - scanning stuff.
The vacuum mod can be put on any, so the carrier isn't essential tbh

Havent got the Oxylus yet but sounds handy :)

The only reason keeping me from using Sly Vulpaphyla is the ugly sound and visual of the "evade" buff.

i believe diriga has the longest engagement range.
if this is useful or not depends on your intentions.
i sometimes use this as a sort of visual aid paired with a beam weapon, so it will essentially point at enemies if such a use is relevant.

also worth mentioning is the fact that the djinn can not truly die if the "reawaken" mod is used.

i also use shade on spy loadouts, because why not.

that said, i mainly use helios becaus it scans things, oxylus if i go fishing etc, and smeeta kavat if i grind for loot.

The big thing that made sentinels really good was the ability to stack mod set bonuses on both your weapon and its weapon. That's been patched out, so a lot of old guides mentioning that will be outdated.

Carrier is still relevant for the ammo mutation, Helios is still relevant for scanning and has a Banshee Sonar augment, and Nautilus is the new one to farm for the Verglas weapon

helios: its worst after they nerf/remove the meta mods and also big melee nerf. basicly and only its little scanner guy now.
wyrim prime is good for removing status- its my fav robotic
smeeta is good for looting or levelling up, but you cant mainly use it, she ll die forever in sp,profit taker and eidolon so i dont like the revive any of my pet i dont use this as a dps booster.
panzer vulp its best dps-can selfrevive himself and he is like little saryn with viral mod
deth machine is good for energy pickup mod it has, if u need energy orbs
carrier: no point to use after arcanes update. primary merciless has own +100% Ammo Maximum if you need more you have always mod slot for that.
sly vulp: its also great for selfrevive and has dodge mod

You should pick your pet for mission type no point the main 1 forever.

what decades are you living on?
Get a hound already.

I'm running a Dethcube with Energy Generator, keeps energy flowing on frames which can't benefit from Hunter's Adrenaline, plus shield buffing abilities.
Otherwise I have a Pharaoh Predasite and I like it a lot.

answering your question:
Deathcube (prime) is the only sentinel that gives you energy orbs
Wyrm (prime) can dispel negative status using "Negate"
Carrier (prime) is the tankiest among sentinels

best would be Carrier Prime, due to its tankiness,
because any "support" will only be there if your pet is alive
dead pet = deadbeat
bad joke, my bad

but right now, you are "punished" if you equip sentinels,
because there is no way sentinel can support you better compared to smeeta kavat & panzer vulpaphyla

first of all, sentinels don't give you actual support (skills) unlike those pet counterparts which can do many repeatable unique skills with low cooldowns. unlike those sentinels, panzer vulpaphyla can actually kill high level enemies helping you literally in your mission.

secondly, with primed mods (and formas), your sentinels can only auto-revived 5 times...
after that you'll need subsumed Protea's skill PLUS one augment slot (repair dispensary) on your warframe only to revive sentinel per minute. while a smeeta can simply be revived and vulpaphyla is auto-reviving by itself with no mod cost

third, all pets are tankier than any sentinels even with normal modding

lastly, Helios is no longer able to stack damage set mods for your melee damage no point talking about this, since this doesn't work anymore in the game

I like sentinels & kubrows,
but any alternatives other than Smeeta Kavat or Panzer Vulpaphyla are bad choices.
okay, maybe Vasca Kavat & Crescent Vulpaphyla worth trying, but this the first choices are better

Pets dont stay near you though -- constant issue in the game that pet users dont talk about much. Since most missions have you moving around fast all of the time it is a chronic annoyance. I use Carrier -- no muss no hassle.

How it's a problem? They teleport anyway

Sentinels have precept mods just like walking companions. There’s no difference there except in what "skills" the precepts offer. Helios precept skills would be the scanning and the augment that lets it paint Sonar spots on enemies, to increase the damage they take when you shoot them (which is also the reason I still think Helios is a good sentinel)
