Is it possible to remove focus lenses?
I know you can just replace the lens with another, but I don't want any lenses on a weapon of mine. That was a mistake. I find it kind of lame you can't remove them. Why not though? Just have them break or something if you do.

Nope :(
Break it only.

It doesn't seem like there is a way to just remove a lens even if it were to break. The weapon is just stuck with that lens or whatever lens you swap onto it.

Also don't understand why you would ever really need to clear the lens from a weapon. It may keep earning more focus, but that only becomes useless after you have maxed all focus schools. Until then either switch the gun to another school, or just use that focus to keep raising your cap.

The only times lenses have been removed and returned to inventories is when the War Within came with a slight rework of Focus. And then again when the Plains of Eidolon came out with the Quills and yet another rework of Focus, this time titled Focus 2.0

I hope they put the option to remove the lens altogether. Not "refund" it to the inventory to use later, but just destroy it. It's like one line of code. Why not put the option? I don't understand.

What's the point of collecting focus when i maxed out all the schools?

I would love to remove mine even if destroyed. I get a bit annoyed by the yellow marker in missions for focus.

This is a really fast paced game and not conductive to stopping to look at carefully to make sure it isn't a navigation point. Super annoying it isn't at least a different color.

And then have to deal with the endless swarm of support tickets from players who accidentally deleted the Eidolon Lenses they put effort and/or Platinum into acquiring?
If you want an item without lenses, why not make another copy of that item instead?

Because we never know if or when they might end up adding even more to use your Focus points on...

Just one line of code that would result in people "accidentally" deleting their Focus Lenses and then having to cry to Support about how they weren't paying attention and DE should give them their Lenses back because they paid platinum for all of their Eidolon Lenses.

Yes exactly. The yellow marker is somewhat distracting and i have focus lens on a lot of frames and weapons. (Because i was a noob and didn't know that you only need to put it on one or two frames like Volt or Saryn.)

It's maybe a little thing. Just a quality of life change. But it would be huge for me if i could remove them. It's not a lot of work really. Just one line of code.

Swarm of tickets? I don't think the population of stupid people would be that large. But what you said is irrelevant. Also "Making" another copy of my item is not always an option. What if most of them are vaulted prime stuff, or maybe can't be acquired again like Excalibur Umbra.

By "accidentally" you mean clicking multiple times to get to the menu intended for removing the thing? It's not an accident. If i decide to delete my Umbra for example it's my choice to do so and not an accident. I have faith that people aren't that stupid.

There's literally no reason to ever need to destroy a lens. No, not even then.

Yeah.
Crazy as it sounds, I do mean that.
There've been threads here where someone comes complaining that they deleted something and now they can't get it back despite having to click four-five times to actually delete it.

Simple 'fix' for that is a "are you sure" then "are you sure, you're sure" prompt. Then DE can rightfully say "we asked twice and you still went for it.."
