What's your opinion on Boar Prime?

For me it's been pretty reliable. I honestly haven't heard this weapon be talked about all that much and I just wanted the community's input on this weapon.

It is an ok gun but there are much better shotguns to be had...sobek or Tigris prime are WAY better
I have not tried it since the recent status changes but I imagine it is still sub par in comparison to the other shotguns

It's main problem to me isn't so much it's mediocre stats but it's spread : shotguns have their spread affected by accuracy, and said accuracy goes way down in case of full auto fire. That's why this gun becomes unables to do any substancial damage past 3 meters when unloading. Also i see people recommending stuff like tigris prime and so on, but status-oriented shotguns are dead, like really dead. I'd recommend instead something like the hek or pretty much other hybrids (crit+status) like the corinth.

I have a good one and it' still crap compared to other weapons. Too much spread, absurd ammo consumption, terrible damage stats.

Shotguns should be no-nonsense weapons. You should point, shoot and then there should be bits of somebody all over the walls. I personally don't much like auto shotguns in Warframe. The manual varieties are far more powerful and more fun (for me) to use. The Boar Prime isn't especially powerful, nor accurate; you have to be within melee range to make best use of it which makes it somewhat pointless.

There are worse shotguns to be sure. The Drakgoon and Kohm are all sorts of nonsense. I like shotguns to be powerful and loud so the Tigris and Corinth are my favourites, I think many people would concur.

I like it. Only thing that turns me down from it time to time is it's firing sound

I only use it within melee range. As. well no distance on it.. However, I only use it on my rhino, and use it to proc for melee. Not really as a killing device but a melee assist device as up close unloading does its job, procs what I need for my melee and things drop like bad habbits.
So I like it but only in that perspective. As for a killing weapon, hell no. Cornith is my choice.
I agree, a shot gun should be loud. Single fire and .. leave pieces of things. Hold it, point in general direction and let er rip.
