Deimos infested, whats their story?

I have seen infested that were once corpus and grineer, but are the ones at deimos different? How different? Im curious about this, Im about to install the game and would like to know what to expect of these, im still at work but would love to hear if you have the time, kind strangers :)

I know nothing of lore. But the way it looks is that the race Ballas is from was on Deimos.

Ballas himself was taken/joined with/hybridized by the Sentients and his "homeworld" was left to a dysfunctional family that got hybridized by the infested.

The Sentients and Infested seem to both be hive mind type entities that evolve through assimilation.

Do the Deimos quest in the Necralisk to get the story behind it.
It gets fleshed out even further when you rank up with the family.

Ballas is/was an orokin. (Big arm gives it away)
Deimos was the secret hideout for the entrati (orokin family) where grandfather researched the void.

Both infested and sentients were created by or for the orokin.
Sentients were sent to Tau to make it habitable for the orokin.
Infested seem to be a weapon created to fight the sentients but that was from old lore and i‘m not sure if we got new clues about their original origin and purpose

There really isn't much of a difference aside from the fact that the Deimos infested is considered to be a part of the "Gray Strain." Without digging through the deep lore the game doesn't really make much effort to create a distinction between this strain and the "normal" strain.

Native wildlife, presumably. The infestation uses whatever it can catch.

Chargers are infested Grineer if I'm not mistaken, Ancients are infested Orokin, and so forth.
