Gift of the lotus gave free weapon slot

All of my weapon slots were full and I did a mission that gave me a free dex furis, and it gave me an extra weapon slot to fit the weapon in. This isn't a compliant, I'm just wondering if that's meant to happen or not.

It is supposed to give you a weapon slot in addition to the dex weapon

FFR, Quest Reward weapons such as the [Blank] from Second dream and the [Blank] from War Within also give free slots.

The weapon also already has a catalyst in it.

Any piece of equipment that is already built (be it from a quest or the market) come with an inventory slot and a potato and bypass any potential mastery rank (like that reward from the second dream that you can get and use at MR3 even while it requires a mastery rank of 10 to be crafted).
