How to crack open an isolation vault

I have a reactive crystal with Lokh symbol but when I break it, it becomes a tower for a while, then just resets. No idea how to open the door. Anyone figured this out?

I completed it once.
I had 2 towers at different places and one crystal near the vault(big door).
Activated both towers and then crystal near the door.
Then you need to protect small guy while he activates generators.
When he finishes you will have a chance to open vault door.
You have 3 attempts to enter correct sequence of symbols.
When I failed first try, correct sequence of symbols appeared on the door and disappeared after few seconds, so look at the door and remember them.
That's what i had.

Yeah, me and some buddies found out tonight that the pillar immediately in front of the Necramech hallway is a red herring, and we actually have no clue what it's supposed to do. You have to take a right and follow the tunnel to the door, then activate the crystal there to summon Loid like the guy above me said.
