What is the best secondary weapon in the game?

Thats a pretty hard choice, Id say its tie between , Mara Detron, Lex Prime(and aklex), Vaykor Marelok, Akstilleto Prime, Sicarus Prime and Euphona Prime mostly due to how different things suit different people.

Don't know if there's really one all-round "best" of anything, but Akstiletto Prime is a solid contender. Hybrid crit+status build on that is pretty crazy.

Best out of everything? There's none. Top tiers however are the likes of Sicarus Prime, Akstiletto Prime, Lex / Aklex Prime, and Euphona Prime.

For clearing level 30 and under, Sonicor is better choices since it deals enough damage to 1-2 shot, and it's AoE.

I'm a huge fan of the Lex prime and if i had to recommande one, that would be the akastiletto prime.
Akastilleto prime have a great stable DPS, very short reload time, and if you mod with corrosive and piercing you will melt mobs in sorties.

There is no single best weapon, 90 percent of weaponry is powerfull, the remaining 10 percent can be made viable with enough investment, which means listing the powerful weapons would make this list far too long. On top of that, there are many weapon class types, all of which have top contenders, and playstyle preferance dictates what class you like. THeres machine pistols, single pistols, dual pistols, AoE secondaries, Launcher secondaries, shotgun pistols, dual mode pistols, crossbow pistols and more. The best bet is try weapons, keep what you like, sell the ones you dont. The real power behind weapons either way is the mods installed on them, so until you get said mods, they wont perform to thier potential anyway. Once you figure out what you like, aim towards getting the mods to make them powerful.

If your looking for a typical meta list, it currently sits at akbolto prime, aklex prime, euphona prime and akstiletto prime.

not all weapons can be viable

there is only 2 weapons in the game, cyron and convetrix that are actuallly crap, and technically they are very good at procing status effects, which when comboed with a condition overload glaive, makes it viable. SO yea.

That is only a roundabout way of saying the glaive is a good weapon.
Proccing status can be done as good if not better with other weapons... weapons that are a lot better than the cyton and convetrix.

I use a wide variety of weapons, meta and not. But at the point the only use for a weapon is to proc status, while 99% of the weapons on the game can do that and more, its jist a bad weapon. Feel free to use it, just dont expect it to be a good weapon.

Soma is a better rifle than the argonak, still use the latter as often as i do the former. Arca plasmor is better than astilla, same story. Galatine Prime is the best melee weapon in the game, i still use other melle weapons.
Almost all weapons are still good and viable, theres just a select few that are too useless to even get the predict viable.

Thats not "meta mentality", thats just a realistic view of how certain weapons perform compared to one another.
