What are "Prime Warframe Sets" and how do they work?
Soo since i'm new and everybody has to start from somewhere, I've been thinking about getting Hydroid Prime but I don't know how, I've been checking the Warframe Market and I saw that people are selling "Hydroid Prime Sets", How do they work? Like, does the guy give you the Chassis, Systems and Neuroptics or does he give you their blueprints?

Prime sets are improved versions of their normal counterparts, both stat-wise and visually.

A prime warframe set consists of the blueprints for the Chassis, Systems and Neuroptics, including the main blueprint.

A prime weapon set consists of the weapon's main blueprint, and all of the parts required to build it.

Hope this helped. :emofdr:

You get prime warframes in 1 of 3 ways
- you buy the pack from an unvault (rerelase) or prime access (1st introduction of the warframe)
- you buy the set from those who have it, that means 4 components bps that need to be built afterwards
- you grind by using (or others using) relic containing 1 of the 4 bps (main bp, system, chassis and neuroptics)

Prime warframes are the same thing as regular warframes, but do have extra bling bling and pitifull stats increases, they also grant mastery points if you are after that sort of thing.

Due to the nature of the prime warframes, the components can be traded, something regular warframes do not have access to, this motivates players to grind for the "same" content and to trade said components, if the prime warframe is in a vault (relics removed from drop rewards), DE still makes the regular version available, they do not lock players from getting certain playstyles, only the prime variant is locked
This means only the bling bling (aka cosmetic appearence) is locked behind trading or a wait time of several months.
As for the stat increases, when you have to die, you will die, it's not the extra 10 armor or something like it that will save you, i say this because some players believe the good content is the prime content and if it isn't available then the game is pay2win, obviously that's not the case.

You can farm Hydroid Prime yourself. Prime parts drop from Relics (do fissure missions and collect 10 reactant to open them). You can see what Relics Hydroid Prime parts drop from by going to Codex > Universe > Relics > Type 'Hydroid Prime' in searchbar.
Buy one of the steam dlc packs, use the plat to buy hydriod prime set, it's usually around 100-200 plat last time I checked, or you can buy the prime access, either way it's a really good deal

Bad advice.

I would never recommend any of the Steam DLC packs even if they were 75% off you can pretty much get everything it has ingame.

If you need Plat you can try to sell Prime stuff or Mods like Corrupted Mods.
Otherwise wait till you can get 50% Discount or higher from the Login Rewards and then buy some Plat.

My best advice would be to just farm relics to obtain it yourself without spending Plat.

To add to this I will also include a relic farming chart to make it easier on you:
