How do people get around so fast?
I start a mission and the waypoint is 1000m away and people warp there instantly. When we finish that point the next target is 500m and they are there instantly and I walk all the way.

Then extraction I don't even see the extraction waypoint and everyone is home already and I walk all the way and don't even make it halfway there before the timer ends.

What am I missing?

It's not speedrunning, it is being efficient as much as possible. To put it in perspective; if a mission can be done in 5 minutes instead of 20, it is more efficient to do it in 5 minutes,I may understand the shock to newer players, but one day they will play exactly like that.

You'll get there at some point with enough practice and knowledge,
in the mean time,

Good luck Tenno.

If in an "open world" area, either Archwing or Void Dash.

If in a normal mission, Void Dash.

Okay so I just played another missiona nd paid careful attention to the speed runner.

He was running a Rhino Prime frame.

What happens is he jumps into the air and then flies off and disappears and instantly reappears at the waypoint.

I am sure what Dubstep_Samurai said is correct. Because that sounds like Archwing is a device that lets you fly up into the air, and then he appears instantly at the location.

Thanks Dubstep Samurai you were the only helpful person in this thread.
Archwing only works in open worlds (if you can even call them "worlds") and in space.

In any other mission, the only thing faster than bullet jumping is void dashing, which you need the Operator for. As for what exactly that is, I'm not going to post any spoilers here.

You're missing just simple movement combo which you learn quickly. Biggest problem is the feeling when experienced players speedrun the mission and leave new players behind in confusion.

1)Slide/ crouch
2) Aim little upwards
3) Jump while sliding or crouching for Bullet Jump
4) Roll in the air
5) Slide before or right after you land
6) Start at 1 again

You will get the rythm going after some practice. There are also some warframes with abilities that let them move really fast or teleport.

Loki - Switch Teleport
Nova - Worm hole
Gauss - Super Sonic speed
Volt - Speed buff to everybody near Volt
Zephyr - Chicken flight
Ash - Teleport (To enemies, containers, Rescue targets, downed allies, Defense targets)
Wukong - Cloud walk

ROFL
Zephyrs Chicken flight.

Then that is void dashing. Something faster than bullet jumping. You’ll unlock that ability after completing the New War quest.
As someone else said, it is 100% this. If someone just vanishes, and then BAM they're way ahead of you, it's a void dash. I've used it tons to get around fast, and if you have everything unlocked, you can easily move twice as fast as a Warframe. If you didn't know I was doing it, you'd probably not even notice. I would just appear way ahead of you. It's a lot of fun, so look forward to getting it!

Being a newbie in this game is not fun at all. The early zones have all the lame wall running that some people like. The game just could never hold me for more than a week. And doing team stuff is the worse. This game is all about the end game for the vet players. They haven't improved or changed anything in the newbie zones for new players.

The only place in the whole game I know of that uses wall running is Jupiter, which is several planets in.

If you'd played this game a few years ago, you'd know that the new player experience has improved massively.

There is no endgame lol.
What I'm hearing is basically archwing with double shift where it warps you faster to the location.

Uh.... NO. I can trace my inbox history all the way back to early 2014, and I may have deleted some early on, so it may be closer to 2013... when stamina was a thing. Nostalgic...
Anyway, my play style hasnt changed THAT much, and I still like taking more time. Not to mention, I dont even mod for speed, so its really damn annoying when people ZOOM around, and I HAVE to catch up, because they are ALREADY waiting at an objective/exit. And I dont usually wish to play solo, as thats somehow not as fun as having backup.
So yeah, no, efficiency my ass. This isn't some high level accounting. Stop zooming like youll be missing something supremely important.

Also LMAO your profile. A bit high standards, no? Lol. Snob gamers....

Wisp. Or Void Dash with Madurai-on.

Are people forgetting that open world has teleport points?

Archwing -> Teleport point -> Jump -> Archwing -> Archwing dash -> Profit

To be fair a lot of people do aim for being efficient. If they have limited time to play for whatever reason then It only makes sense to optimise that time so you can get a lot done in that limited time. Destiny or any looter shooter, is no different.

If people enjoy taking their time then there is no problem with that at all.

And don't even get me started on WoW or Destiny (Pre crap Destiny 2)

No I already do that. They simply seem to warp to the destination almost instantly. I can't even see them walking. They're just gone and next thing I know they're there already.

Once I started a mission before another guy, he joined after me but he got to where I was walking way before I did.

Do note that these guys seem to be super high level guys with rainbow outfits and all that snazzy stuff. I am a newb just started playing haven't even played for ten hours.
they have hi ping so it looks like they warp
