Do you get mastery for weapons if Umbra is using them on autopilot mode?

trying to level up a gorgon to get it out of the way and i hate the weapon, can i just let umbra use it on his own while i use the operator or does it not add any mastery?

I doubt it. It doesn't even count his kils. It's pretty much just another spectre in that mode.

that would be bad design so I hope not.

tho I hate Gorgon too.... suggest you put some crit mods, do Hunter Munitions and fire rate and pew headshots, you should level it pretty fast if you use it

didnt even know that only equipting a single weapon gave it more xp

Yep, having all weapons equipped, the xp you get from others is equally divided in 25% for your Warframe and each of your weapon, if you have only 1 weapon equipped, the xp goes 25% to your Warframe, and 75% to your weapon
