What can I do with extras besides scrapping them?

Is there anything I can do with extra frames or weapons if I already have them? I know I can sell them for credits, but that seems like a waste, and I know prime parts are able to be traded. I have an extra Nekros Prime and Ember. Isn't there anything I else can do with them?

Primes for trading or turning them into Ducats, that's it. Normal blueprints for credits or they may be for crafting other weapons/ warframes, that's it.

Some weapons are used as components for other weapons. That's it.

You can't do anything with built Warframes or weapons not used as components.

Before selling/trading items, I would advice to check if it is required to make other items.

Built parts you should be able to sell for ducats. If you have crafted the whole warframe you can only sell it for credits. Pointless to have more than 1... well, somebody built 100 Oberons and DE was so impressed that they gave him free Oberon Deluxe skin when the skin was released.

I have an extra Oberon Prime laying around. Both of them have different polarities for different uses (Umbra vs non-umbra.) The three extra customization appearances is also a nice bonus.

In your case, Ember is very easy to farm for, so don't be afraid to sell her. I've always had worse luck farming for primes, so I'd keep the duplicates around if possible. Better to have one on hand in case you think of a good use for it.

As people have said on most frames an extra fully built frame is just a wasted slot you could be using. Sell it for credits and move it. Thats all you can do.

For some frames though different builds require whole new polarity setups. Its not very common but I have a couple of double ups because of that.

Don't sell a Prime frame for credits. Sell Prime parts for Ducats.

The problem is I have extra, fully built frames and weapons from promos. I know what I can do with parts, I was just curious what to do with duplicates of actual frames and weapons.

like mentioned above, i have sometimes considered using duplicates to apply forma for different (polarity incompatible) builds.
i have yet to actually do it though.
