^P much. I used jat kittag with vulcan blitz and condition overload on my melee built saryn and i usually one hit most enemies on sortie III/lvl 100+ enemies.
There's also a chance, depending on what type of tileset you're in at the time, of insta-killing enemies by knocking them off the map with the blast (This most often occurs by affected enemies being hurled into bottomless pits. It is also possible that you may occasionally hit an enemy hard enough that they no-clip out of the playable map).
The blast from Vulcan Blitz is a purely damaging one with no knockback effect iirc, but it's still a large amount of damage that can help moderate crowds.
You can use that build for other melee oriented frames like saryn but i'd swap a few things in an out. but yes you can.
The main point to consider when running a heavy weapon is the speed of the attacks and that is why I like using Valkyr and warcry. Inceased melee/movement speed = hella high DPS across the map. I prefer to use this melee over maintaining Hysteria and I almost always exclusively use Hysteria as a panic button.
As stated here, modify the build to match the mods you have available and the frame you are planning to use.
