I know this whas suppose to be creepy in some regard but really after I picked up the relic i lost respect for the quest.
ITS A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FIDGET SPINNER EVERYONE. RELL IS AUTISTIC.

Really if Rell's autism or his spinner is what made you lose respect for the quest then I think the problem might be you.
I personally enjoyed the quest and was very interested in learning about Rell, his interactions with the other children, his role in the Red Veil, and his struggle against the "man in the wall".
I hope DE keeps brining in such rich story quests.

That moment sort of killed the mood for me. Not Rell being autistic, that's fine, just... The name of his ambient noise machine was so silly sounding I just started laughing. I can't quite remember it though.

I generally just found the "Rap Tap Rap Tap" part being pretty cringey. The rest of the quest was fine for me.

It was mentioned that the Void is conscious, but generally indifferent to us, like the Lovecraftian elder god, Azathoth. The Man in the Wall could either be the Void itself having taken interest in the Tenno children, an adult who also obtained powers from the Zariman, or a "lesser" void being being like Nyarlathotep.

As for Rell being autistic? GOOD! Means he was human at one point and flawed (like a large majority of humanity is), and it makes the horror of what he became all the more pointed.
