Red Crits? 200%+?
When the Crit Chanse is over 200% to lets say 250%, is 250% better than 200%? I'm asking because I've got Blood Rush, Relentless Combination, Weeping Wounds and Maiming Strike on my Atterax, among other mods. is it even worth it to go above 200% crit chanse? Higher Crit Chanse than 200% doesn't increase damage in any way, or does it? :D

Of course it does.

200% crit chance only gives you (1 + (crit multiplier - 100%) * 2) damage guaranteed.

With 250% chance, you have a 50:50 chance of either getting (1 + (crit multiplier - 100%) * 2) or (1 + (crit multiplier - 100%) * 3) damage.

You can go up almost indefinetly, if your build allows it. There is no cap to the effects of crit chance.

Wrong. Red crits don't double the damage.

From yellow to orange crits, the effective critical damage bonus (shown multiplier -1x) is doubled, but not the whole damage.

From orange to the first red level, it's only another +50% in relation to orange.

If you want to make good use of read crits, you must make sure that your crit multiplier is as high as possible. A 2.0x multiplier is exactly TWICE as strong as a 1.5x multiplier, and a 3.0x multiplier is once again TWICE as strong as the 2.0x multiplier.

nope the formula is: 1 + (CriticalMulitpler - 1 ) * CriticalLevel
so in your example:
  • Y : 1.6
  • O : 2.2
  • R : 2.8

@ OP: "red" crit scale to infinity.

you can never ahve enough crit chance once you start gettign to like 400% crit chance you start to see ridiculously high damage numbers red crits that deal hundreds of thousands... its the main reason why maiming strike is such a powerful mod when combined with blood rush each combo counter adds the maiming strike percentage again...

http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Critical_Hit

"For Basic Orange Crits (Level 2 Crits) the critical damage multiplier can be determined from the formula:

Orange Crit Multiplier = 2 × (Crit Multiplier − 1) + 1

More generally, the critical damage multiplier of any hit can be determined from the following formula:

Crit Multiplier = Crit Level × (Crit Multiplier − 1) + 1

For example, a melee weapon with a base 3.0x crit multiplier and Organ Shatter installed would have a multiplier of 5.7x for level 1 (yellow) crits. If that weapon were to have a Critical Chance over 100% it would be capable of achieving level 2 crits and they would have a multiplier of 10.4x, and if that weapon reached a Critical Chance over 200% it would be capable of level 3 crits dealing 15.1x damage."

In short, the more the better.
