How does the razer chroma color thing work?

The colors of my keyboard have changed so I know it's doing something, but I thought it was supposed to flash to the rhythm of killing or something?

From what my friend who uses Razer products says the colors are based off of your energy colors from what he can guess which is pretty cool.

It's neato, but it's hard to look at the keyboard while I'm playing.

Hey guys, little late to this but i have chroma keyboard, mouse and mouse pad. from what I understand from my own use.

the keyboard: changes colour to your energy, so far this has been perfectly accurate. different animations play for each time you use your abilities. some different animations based on frames. theres also a few animations for traveling in loading screens between places

the mouse: same as keyboard changes to your energy, it flashes when you take health damage (slightly distracting on nidus and inaros lol) depending on the current energy it will flash a different bright colour opsite to yours

the mousemat: this is harder to work out, it seems to glow blue and sometimes yellow when you are in a ship but green and yellow when you are on a planet I havent really worked this out yet.

as long as that works with the chroma app it should do. but from the looks there isnt many patches to light up anyway
