It's fairly meh, its base damage is 37, which is dealt as pure Radiation damage, and its crit and Status stats are nothing to write home about. However, its blueprint is only obtainable from the occasional alert that has it listed as a reward. I would recommend hanging on to the blueprint for now, and waiting until later on, when you have a weapon slot you're willing to spare so you can rank it up for extra Mastery, at which point you can feel free to delete it (unless you're an avid collectionist like me who just has to have one of everything, whether or not it's any good).

The Dark Split Sword is the one you'll want to run if you like the Dark sword series. You'll have to get it from a clan Dojo though.

http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Split-Sword

The Dark Sword isn't directly comparable to the Dual Ether. The Radiation Damage of the Dark Sword is better vs. Grineer/Corpus/Corrupted than the Slash damage of the Dual Ether (and in general elemental damage types are more desirable), but the Dual Ether do a fairly good job vs. the infested because they are slash damage based (just for a joke, I actually have a Catalyst Dual Ether set that sometimes gets used at Hieracon vs. the infested  ). Dual Ether also have a built in stagger effect that basically stun locks enemies which is nice (early on that's especially good for cheesing some of the relay spectors).

btw, you can get the stats for the Dark Sword and the Dual Ether from the wiki:

http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Sword
http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Dual_Ether

Also, if you haven't already done so, here's the article on how damage/status/crits work in Warframe so you can know how to compare damage types:

When you go into your arsenal to change your weapons/warframe, choose select mode at the bottom and select conclave. Gear for conclave is done differently and some mods aren't allowed. This is also how you modify your Archwing loadout.

also, most mods for pve can't be used for pvp.

Yeah, the PvP system uses its own completely different mods, and virtually none of the regular PvE mods can be used in Conclave (PvP). All weapons and frames also have different stats in Conclave than they do in PvE.
