Best Melee Weapon For Beginners?

Hello!

I'm rank 4 in Warframe, and I really need a good melee weapon, however I do not know which one I should buy.

I'm am currently using the Skana, Orthos and the Ether Reaper, I switch it over time to time.

However I think there is a good melee wepaon out there in the market or something that I should get, because I'm using the excalibur which is kind of a melee focus Warframe.

What shows the power of each weapon is Mods.
You are MR 6 so i dont expect you to have the endo to upgrade the mods needed yet.
You can try them tho.

Galatine is pretty much the casual starter that will solve your hands even with not fully upgraded mods.

Atterax is one of the best killers in the game (if not THE best)...with the proper modding.

it depends? are you using your melee for your 4th ability? or actually swinging it around in melee? or both?
as i know i use different loadouts for my melee if im only spamming excal's 4th ability or actually using the weapon vs the enemy
personally i prefer the orthos for the nice range to help keep the melee combo going (if you have a melee combo mod)


(edited. i just realize the glaive blueprint can only be found through alerts so this may not be viable)
another suggestion while probably not good for excal. is the glaive. since you can dual weild a pistol and glaive weapons. you mod the glaive with power throw and less bounces. and it turns into a rocket launcher which can give you a nice burst of aoe damage while you use your pistol
and you can still get melee combo while in dual weild so you can still swing it as a melee weapon just as fine as wielding a melee weapon by itself
just be careful it has self damage with the explosion at the end

a nikana also wouldn't be a bad choice. its a solid weapon but you need to be in a clan that has it researched in the tenno lab. so idk if you have access to this yet

for a beginner, a good melee i would recomend is galatine.

ATM is hard to tell what to use at such low MR, specially when the 1st 8-9 MR's can be grown pretty fast. Rather try to max and burn some fodders to lvl up to a more reasonable MR for more access to better stuff that u can start to use potato and forma in it. Max and burn all the regular versions of gear with a special version, at least those u can still obtain. Also, look at what u might like to develop into a strong weapon and strive to get them. That will give u something to use during your future growth.

U only need to lvl up to MR 14-15 to access prety much everything in the game, but feel acomplished at about 12. GL.

not really the best melee, but id recommend the tipedo, it has ok stats and later on you can upgrade it to the lesion, which is a really good weapon.

anything u craft ull just disregard after maxing it to rank 30 unless youre at super late game

Melee requires so many hard to obtain and expensive mods to get good that I would not recommend it for beginners. Instead of sticking to one melee weapon it would be better to use that slot to level mastery fodder or keep it completely empty so that your weapons get more affinity from other players' kills.
