he will have everything he had so far
Normally if you did something like that it would be hard to prove but here you are giving everyone the proof yourself... kind of a facepalm moment don't you think?
Here's hoping you don't get your and your friends accounts banned!
I'm personally not the kind to report such things but you never know, just be careful.
Like I said it would be hard to prove in normal circumstances since people do buy stuff with the intent to sell later... but telling people beforehand that you are splitting one is kind of different.
As long as he says he isn't going to I don't see any issue with it, and no way to prove otherwise.
Side note- doing a lot of one sided trades would probably get you looked at. If you did it with strangers a lot, especially with items considered expensive/rare it could be looked at as real money trading. You are, by the rules, not even allowed to trade much between two accounts that you own or allow them to be in the same clan. Not saying that people don't get away with stuff all the time, but telling people you are doing questionable things is asking for your account to be looked at more carefully. Better to err on the side of caution methinks.
I don't know why you decided to instill paranoia into OP over something that would never actually get him banned. It's not like anyone here can report him anyway because your Steam username/profile is not the same as your Warframe profile, since they're literally two separate accounts.
It's not taking away ticket sales from DE or any stupid thing like that if they weren't going to buy tickets anyway, and it sure as hell isn't an exploit either. You already have vets who give away items, prime sets, etc. to newbies all the time, I've been doing it for a very long time. I've given away tons of prime items, relics, or even sometimes full sets to help out newer players and have never gotten banned or reported and never will. DE isn't going to care. They would only really care if you're doing it between alt accounts.
OP, don't listen to this. I don't mean to be rude but it's utter nonsense and I don't know why you had to make the guy paranoid. You're not gonna get banned for helping out friends.
There are trading rules, and not one of them refers to free trades from one person to a different person. You are talking crazy.
Or are you saying it is fine to just split a log in reward now? IDK
It's...I'm not sure how you can possibly conflate what OP wanted to do with "sharing" a ticket. That is not sharing a ticket. And asking them if you can "share" a ticket is not going to get the right response because that's worded so poorly. That is not more than one person using the ticket.
I was just warning him not to go around admitting to things he probably shouldn't... that is all.
He probably shouldn't? Again...nobody is going to ever get in trouble for doing something like that. It's in no way, shape, or form similar to real money trading, or anything like that. AGAIN. You are spouting absolute nonsense and making people paranoid for no good reason. DE doesn't care about something like this because it doesn't actually harm them or negatively impact sales. They have other things to worry about, like people who are actually doing things that break the ToS like buying 3rd party plat.
