Pure genius design. /s
She is the only one with somewhat balanced invisibility, Octavia, Loki, Ash let you run around with no penalties to a broken ability which enemies cannot counter with anything. Which is broken.
She is very very damn strong and her strength does not come from walking on the floor. Try her dashwire, add augment that adds 100% critical damage which scales with ability strength and see how that works.
She has crapton of buffs, utility, insane damage, status immunity, she does extra critical damage, extra headshot damage, explosive arrows, crowd control , area protection - it is hard to look at one drawback she has and call it an interesting parameter when her set of parameters makes her suitable for almost anything and makes her one of the best options for solo Tridolons.
My idea is that her design was like forest ranger, they are not cloaked while moving around but when they find a good bush or a tree they can move there slowly without being seen. We've seen that in many movies, she has a bow, dashwire should help move between "trees", aimbot arrow, bonus headshot and critical damage are kinda indicative of a good sharpshooter in most games..
You can get used to rolling around, Quick Thinking is the best way to prevent random deaths, Amalgam Barrel Diffusion makes rolls faster, Mobilize makes it faster too iirc, ability strength also reduces her speed penalty as well as her augment Infiltrate.
300% Ivara on arbitrations feels like running is her default, I even struggled to aim with such movement.
Not every warframe should be about rushing forward as fast as you can, she is reasonably popular for a warframe that's hardest to get in terms of how much time you need to invest in it. So doubt there is a red flag for a problem there, she may suffer in public rush squads but so do Wisp and Nidus....All 3 of them do well what they do but they suck hairy tits to keep up with rush squads.
also,I dont understand the point in taking a warframe that can go invisible and play on easy mod so im just playing with whatever I'm equiped with. I assume if someone is playing with a frame that can go inv. my first thought is that the person dont know the tileset or how to do spy
she is fun for eidolons and good for hunting down animals though
Indeed, Actually everything that works on bullet jump does improve roll speed as well. Even the elemental jump mods or titanias passive.
That said id suggest to NOT take the amalgam with her:
While it makes rolls perform in a shorter amount of time-this comes at the cost of decreased range for the roll.
The roll will still provide the same speed.
This is less of an issue for a roll during a bullet jump, depending on how you primarily use it. For rubber balling its a drawback as it makes landing during the roll more difficult. If you usually transit into an aimglide however its a benefit again - a shorter roll works better here as well because you keep the momentum. Ivara doesnt bullet jump at all though.
Its neat if you rely on rolling guard for other setups (Hildryn, Nova and Limbo come to mind), because the roll will be finished sooner hence you get more invul time.
But for Ivara who usually uses it as a means of actual movement its a drawback. Less distance covered per click. She only gets the speed boost of it during a roll on the ground, hence a mod that would work completely contrary to Amalgam Barrel Diffusion would be great for her. There is none however :(
Also: She can prowl on ziplines. And does so incredibly fast. Get used to them ;)
I've even had times when I killed an enemy four rooms away (from a turrent room) with a silent weapon without warning, only to have the turrets fire at the door as soon as I step into the room.
A. I use Ivara for every spy I do because the prowl augment means I don't have to care about most of the spy mechanics, which I like because
B. I have done every single spy mission dozens of times. So has many other players. You are free to do what you find fun, but begrudging people for daring to bring the right tool for the job is rather silly. Do you assume people don't know how to defend an objective if they bring a Frost or Limbo to defend the objective?
In any case, the whole point of the ability is that it is slow, but has additional upsides in its looting thing and not having a duration that can run out and get you spotted.
She is not gonna move fast to begin with unless you push ability strength to 300% which scales with her Infiltrate augment, I find her way more usable with more rolls that are faster, taking longer between periods you can engage worked worse for me. I really like how she works with Amalgam Barrel Diffusion.
I did not even bother to test the distance covered with the roll, she just feels more responsive with it and I like it. Your explanation makes sense, I can engage more, I can adjust movement more... Guess my goal in this game is not less clicks :)
Arcane Energize works insanely well with her, pair it with Kubrow that digs out ♥♥♥♥ and you have infinite invisibility. Or even Deth Cube
Her headshot damage buff is a multiplicative buff, meaning it adds on top of total damage you did. Which is already x2 as for majority of enemies headshot damage is x2
and using her just cuz the augment is a weak excuse
let alone warframes, operators alone can handle everything better than any warframe.
also, you dont even need a limbo or frost unless you're playing long excavation, vazarin + magus lockdown combo is enough to defend everything.
so, yes. If someone is using a warframe, it means they are trying to guarantee the easy mission by making it even easier for their level.
but hey I dont really care what others play Im just stating a fact about warframe.
Tip: it's the augment for it ;)
