Good weapons for nidus?
So i am crafting NIdus currently and was wondering which weapons are good with him? I am probably going to buy the phryke pack and get the claws but what about primary and secondary?

Thanks in advance.

The hema works pretty well with him and fits his aesthetic. Pox would be my choice for secondary for looks as well as a small synergy from his 2 and the gas procs

Larva is a big part of your kit, so you want a weapon that can deal with tightly compacted balls of enemies. For this reason, punch through or AoE become powerful.

Opticor or Lanka does well, but things like a Supra with punch through and high status can rot them down.

I am only mastery rank 11 and barely got any fieldron so i cannot craft any of those. Currently i am just using the soma prime. What about the Lenz, isn't that good cause it explodes?

Given the fact that weapon choices are subjective, not to mention it depends how you mod things up, I have found the Fulmin, Atmos, and cassowar or kronen to be rather good.

Fulmin is great

Any crit weapon while using the augment for his Virulence, which gives you a great crit chance buff to your primary if you hit at least four enemies with one cast. And the buff scales by strength.

IMO your weapons for Nidus should be balanced around dealing with what the frame's powers aren't good at dealing with.

Nidus has 2 things he doesn't deal with well:
1: AoE.
2: High armor.

For the AoE you want weapons like the Lenz, Zarr, Arca Plasmor, Amprex, Pox, Staticor, Atomos, or Zenistar. These all can deal with large groups really really well.

For high armor you want a weapon that either doesn't about armor or can strip massive amounts of armor. Tigris Prime or Kohm (with a riven that lets it gain 100% status chance before multishot) are generally best for the former, while Mara Detron or Pox with a Corrosive/Blast 100% status chance build are best for the latter.

Fulmin with punch through could work well with Nidus' abilities.

I've playing Nidus for a long time and I can say that there is a pretty big number of weapons that work well whit him.
I have some different builds but these are the ones I like the most:

- Equipping Teeming Virulence augments for tons of crit and the LENZ, have in mind you'll have to mod the frame with decent range (I go with 240 range).

- Again Teeming Virulence and ARCA PLASMOR, I go with medium range
and focus on strength (more than 200)

- Teeming Virulence, medium-range, medium strength, lots of survival and the ASTILLA

All the weapons that I enjoyed playing with Nidus:
- Arca plasmor
- Astilla
- Hek
- Ignis wraith
- Lenz
- Zarr

The only good advice I've seen in this thread is getting an armor strip weapon.
You also want something to deal with null bubbles and arbitration drones, like a rapid fire and a high single target damage crit gun, unless you are among these 95% of the player base who can't aim to save their lives, then you want to use some crutchmoon or something and maybe not use frames that require some effort to use effectively, like nidus, in the first place lmao.
