Instant Armor stripping primary?

for fashion reasons i want to use my secondary as my primary and my primary as my secondary and I want to find a weapon that can strip armor with the efficiency of the pox.

I was going to mention Grakatas due to high rate of fire and relatively high status (to quickly inflict lots of status).

But yeah you're right, Strun Wraith is probably what OP is looking for when it comes to instant armor stripping.

HighFire Rate Shotguns or a High Status Chance or both is a way to go, people here suggested Strun Wraith is a good example for this.

Does it have to be primary? The Sarpa might also be an option, especially given that you are into "stylish guns"!
Its a gunblade, essentially a full automatic blade adorned pistol. Add the Bullet Dance Stance and you will exclusively be shooting, fast, quickly swap positions with backward rolls, shoot again. Just by hammering the melee button.
Add "shattering impact" for a level independent armor strip. Shattering impact works on base armor and can strip everything in the same amount of hits, no matter the level. thumpers are 3 clicks for a full strip, no matter if normy, bull or doma.
The sarpa combines "style" with a hell lot of melee hits in a short amount of time. Hence strips, fast. Also a nice "oh ♥♥♥♥" button if you aint actually into melee at all and there is that Bombard right behind the door.

In low level areas other weapons would be faster though.
For example the Scourge. Also stylish :P
It shoots exploding plasma clouds, full auto. So properly modded quite a lot of them.

With innate corrosive damage and a very high status chance right from the start.

Kinda the direct primary upgrade (faster rate of fire, more projectiles, faster projectile speed, similar explosion range) to the pox. It does lack the lingering cloud, but adds more damage and way higher rate of fire and "magazine", also reloads way faster than the strun and has a higher effective range.

With innate corrosive damage you can easily add quite the exotic variations also similiar to pox's favorite blast stunlock. For example corrosive + gas + electricity, which in difference to the usual pox blast cloud will keep them upright during the CC.

100% status Kohm, which is only possible with a riven. Supra Vandal and Glaxion Vandal are also quite fast. Strun Wraith is good for armor stripping but not that good for damage.

As for shotguns:
Kohm has ammo issues, but fires very fast and needs a riven to work.

Strun has a reasonably slow rate of fire.

Tigris prime can get 100% status, so can the exergis but they fire only 1-2 shots per reload and have low pellet counts.

Convectrix can get you 24 procs per second with only 3 mods, one of which is an ammo efficiency mod

Boar has a decentlyhigh rate of fire and reasonable ammo efficiency, but needs all 4 status mods or a riven to work.

IMO boar is best overall.

As for rifles? Most are too slow or too low status chance to get the procs out fast enough.
Realistically, you have the supra(vandal), glaxion vandal, and zhuge prime.

Zhuge is an odd one, you want to have fire rate mods on it to fire quickly and each shot will deal 2 procs, 1 on impact, the other when it explodes.


TL;DR - Boar prime will give you a very high status proc/second, doesn't require rivens, and doesn't take forever to reload..
