It also doesn't hurt to send Distilling Extractors to Ceres and Saturn. People seem to think extractors are worthless, but it's free to send them out and only takes a few hours, so you have nothing to lose
For farming them now to build those sweet sweet primes, try any of the dark sectors on Ceres (survival or defense) or Saturn (survival) with a loot frame. Dark sector missions have a bonus to resource drops which helps plus are all infested so you can kill in bulk very fast with no nullifiers and few issues with enemies hiding behind boxes at range instead of lemming charging your kill area. Which loot frame depends on which you have, which you like, and how you're planning to fight.
If you run a defense, either Khora or Hydroid work well because you're essentially just sitting in place and letting tentacles or chains kill everything.
If you run a survival, Nekros works quite well for running through the map killing as you search for cell arrays and box dropped cells. If you just want to sit in place, you can find plenty of spots to set up Hydroid or Khora as well.
If you don't have a loot frame, you can just blow through almost any mission on either planet clearing boxes and lockers on the way to the objective. The assassination missions are fairly good because the bosses tend to have a decent drop rate for cells. Especially Phorid if an invasion assassination is active on either planet because he's super fast and easy to get to and kill. (my record is 47 sec mission time with wukong prime duration build for cloudwalker).
Another option, if you're willing to wait a bit longer for your full cell count, is anything in derelict, cells drop there almost as well as Ceres or Saturn plus you can work on Mutagen Samples for Hema research. Or just kill through vault runs instead of speed running them.
Pilferdome is working well other than the lack of loot. Its definitely my favourite solo farming ability, I know hydroid gives more but the tentacles are so annoying to get in good places you end up having to cast it 2-3 times just to cover all areas.
The speed runs are the ones that have consistently worked for me but im going to solo up to maybe 20 and see if any drop.
From my experience, extractors are TERRIBLE for the "rare" resources of any given planet. Titans simply have way too low chance for them, and Distilling's cycle time is way too long to justify using it for the supposedly-increased chance.
The best use for them IMHO is for anything annoying to farm but considered common by the starchart (e.g. Polymer Bundle, Hexenon).
Considering every other resource either can't be gotten from an extractor or builds up into the millions with no major constant drain, using extractors on Ceres and Saturn just makes sense.
Comparing distilling and titan extractors, the 2% chance for a rare on titan in 4 hours means you have just under 4% chance in 8 hours. Distilling has a 5% chance for it's 8 hours so it's clearly better. The 8 hour time also means you can sleep / work / play something else / forget about them for more than 4 hours at a time without losing some of that gain.
Not that it matters a whole lot to the original discussion because extractors are only meant to maintain or at best slowly build your supply up, not as the main source of obtaining cells if you need them now.
For that I stand by my suggestion of running dark sectors on Ceres or Saturn for the extra drop chance and easy mass killing.
His boss fight mechanic can get annoying though.
Still, if you use a Rubico with high damage, it's like 4 shoots, fast kill.
Limbo + Rubico +30 movement speed.
Helene is definitely the one.
