Landing craft =/= Orbiter

I'm dumb, I just found out that our landing craft and the Orbiter are two separate things...

I always thought that the area we are always in between missions was just the interrior of our ship "Landing craft" but apparently that's the orbiter. A much larger ship that our landing craft docks with between missions.

Now, I'm confused. Is Ordis the ship cephalon of the orbiter or the landing craft? Or both? Why can't a crew of tenno just share an orbiter? (Railjack probobly solves this) This just confuses me.

Do you think we will ever get more rooms in the orbiter? The thing is pretty big.

I am MR24 and I also didn't know this. I thought that the ship on mission loading screen is the ship we are on whe not in a mission. But yes, I did realize that the proportinality of the ship didn't make sense if that was the case. Anyhow I always assumed it was the same ship since when you are in navigation the window also shapes the same way as the landing craft. So exactly how does the orbiter look like?

This still makes no sense, When you join the Squad, your teammates Landcrafts come close you your "Orbiter" but they are also on their Orbiter? Why did their Landcraft came close to our Orbiter then? Since they need the Landcraft to leave the Orbiter? wtf?

I would love that, A big hangar where we can customise the railjack

Actually can you blame me for thinking the orbiter is the landing craft? The options to decorate the orbiter is listed under landing craft.

Not only that, but as you said, the front wondow is in the same shape as the liset

Guys, I'm dumb again.

I just realised something. The part with the window is our landing craft and below the ramp is our orbiter.

If you look at the ramp from inside the orbiter you can see the two airlock doors that would shut while the landing craft is away.
