In today's games texture packs can take 10GB+, there are very few systems that can load every texture in the game just in case player may need it one day.
It is called optimization, every game does that, especially in areas where no actual gameplay will happen and where there is a chance that player will pick any texture from 10 000 avaliable ones.
When you join in mission it will load all player skins that are in that mission
If you force DX9 and modify your game profile you can force far more effective AA modes.
But since neither resolution nor card changes how AA functions, I fail to see the relevance. Beyond, of course, simply stating you've got one.
