Where are people getting Archwing (weapon) mods?
I'm Mastery10, and am at the part in The Jordas Precept where I have an Archwing mission. (Not gonna spoil it by naming the target.)

I'm doing a tiny bit of damage to the target, per clip, and it's taking forever to get it to 98% health down from 99% - even when targeting the correct section of the creature.

I've done some looking online to find good ways to fight the thing and they're like 'use this build', 'add corrosive', etc...
But I've got like 3 mods for my gun. +Damage, +CritDamage, and +MagazineCapacity.
Even if I max those out, I've still got 8 Capacity remaining (or 38 if I decide to potato the Imperator.)

Where are people finding mods for Archwing weapons? Because maybe it's just bad RNG on my part, but so far I've been seeing next to nothing.

Just about all archwing mods come from, surprise, archwing content. Just google "Archwing Gun Mods" and find the mods you want on the wiki, each mods' page will tell you exactly where it drops from. Worth noting most mods are <1% drop rate, so it might take some farming if you don't do any trading.

In addition, weapon choice matters. I did this mission with the Velocitus, the main downside of the weapon is the charge time and precision, making it hard to use in general archwing content, but its absurdly high damage makes it perfect for this target. The Grattler is another solid choice, and what I've been using for general archwing content for a while. It is also easier to get, as the Velocitus needs to acquired through syndicates, but the Grattler just needs to be researched in a dojo. Combine either weapon with crit mods and the Odonata's Energy Shell (which adds 50% heat and 200% crit damage), and you will start burning him quick, even faster if you manage to have all the right mods (first video I found killed it solo in 10-15 seconds.

I guess that's to be expected. :-(

Just frustrating that I'm gonna have to ask for help rather than being able to do the thing for myself; unless I want to spend the next 3 hours shooting the foe, or 30->300 hours grinding for mods.

The Velocitus was one of the frequently-suggested weapons on pages I'd read, but it requires two blueprints from factions who hate me, and one blueprint from a faction I'm not at the right level for.
I'll try the Grattler though - thankyou for the tip. :-)

Looks like I'll have to consider running fissures and try to get stuff to trade for plat -> mods. Otherwise I'll be stuck only able to fight low-level foes.

It's pretty disappointing, esp after 260+ hours in the game to have hit a brick wall like this. (At least with the Operator amp it was something I could see a way to acquire.) :-/
But I appreciate the advice.

With the syndicates find a friend who is doing the ones that hate you and trade with them.
Or just sell some syndicate items for plat and buy the parts

I caved and bought a Grattler.
