Used a Kuva Tonkor missing 2 mods (damage, multishot, and 2 60/60 mods for viral)
Xoris level 0 with no potato or forma, barebone modding
Equinox P missing 3 mods "built" for sleep
Went smoothly.
Ive "seen" (heared in VC) MR12's doing it in like 5 minutes.
"You need to dispose of those specter's solid form first. Once they are in their spectral form throw the Xoris at them to charge it with their energy."
Yea. Really bad, there is no "bot" playing it for you that then one by one, step by step, unlocks your keys so you can go through every step if the process by your very own.
And then- you even have to press W to move forward and they dont tell you! OMG!
Nova. Unleveled unmodded Xoris. Not even a minute.
No primed mods at all. She was a chump. Configed Inaros to be able to ignore the specters for the most part. My stance for glaives includes lots of short AoE throws which allowed me to charge the glaive just by meleeing the specters down.
Once charged, jump at Protea and start meleeing her. Thanks to all those AoE throws in the attack chain, I basically ran around her in circles, keeping her from really fighting back.
When she makes clones, throw and detonate Xoris, go recharge it during her invuln period. Repeat until dead.
She didn't last long.
If you don't, then it is needlessly hard and lengthy. It also means that you're going to have a very bad time farming for weapon/Protea parts unless you use a cheese frame.
I luckily managed to figure out how to take her out right before i bailed to change primary - went with ignis.
So the fight itself - obv. Xoris - bash specters with it until it gets charged up - there is an indicator how much charge Xoris has - 3 dots on the right sight of your aim - charge Xoris - then shoot Protea until her health bar goes gray - then you shoot and detonate Xoris same way you did for captured Solaris - everytime you do that - Protea will have less HP she can regen, do that 4 times and she's cooked.
And considering that The Dealock Protocal is a MR4 quest that's way too much damage.
yeah, the scroll wheel is a terrible choice. I keep accidentally clicking one of the mouse buttons and changing weapons or scrolling and changing abilities.
Rhino's stomp seems to work on her for like a fraction of the time it should, but it at least stops her.
But .. seriously... why come up with this random stuff? Umbra was a hard kill for me, but at least I didn't have to do anything hokey -- like use a weapon I don't like or attack a bunch of ghosts or.. whatever.
Why can't it just be Warframe to Warframe? She has her abilities, you have yours.
the first 1/2 is throw it and mash num 0 (or whatever it gives on various setups)
the second half is throw and hit throw again. I spent 10 or 15 min trying to figure out why num 0 was busted.
The blurry ghost graphic she leaves when retreating with all the razorbeams and magic dust etc make it like trying to play a group of 4 disco ball mirages.
And as usual she is 30 time tougher than anything else.
Put all that together and I give this one a C- ... a good idea made confusing by the controller bait and switch and once you figure it out, its still like chopping down a tree with a rubber mallet. I got it in one go -- it wasn't *hard* but the environmental issues and controller swap made it drag on for a solid half hour.
