KBM is superior in almost all shooter-type games, Warframe is no exception.

Mouse and Keyboard offer you better aim with firearms and more agility in terms of jumping around, while the controller overall makes you have less mobility and less sensible aim, but it feels good to walk around and comfortably play with the controller. It depends on your playstyle. If you're a run and gun ninja who doesn't stop moving for more than 0.5 seconds, go for the keyboard. If you prefer a more methodical and slower approach, the controller is a viable option.

I usually use controller on easy missions or when I just want to relax alone. When I'm with a squad or playing online competitively or doing a harder mission alone I use keyboard and mouse. Same goes with all genres I play.

Depends on what you prefer. I was a keyboard and mouse purest for years but I game so much more from my couch these days and the controller just feels better.

It’s also worth noting that Warframe is not 100% controller supported. Some of the menus still need a mouse and keyboard.

I also have no idea how to use a cipher when hacking from just the controller.

well warframe is a game that allows you to use both and it wont hinder you in any way as long as you get used to it. i myself would always choose mouse and keyboard but that's just my preferance. although i have to say when you play in pc with a controller i wouldn't recommend conclave because people with mouse and keyboards may have an advantage over you

Which is weird because it is on consoles

i dont know how it would be possible to do what is easy and natural for me on mouse and keyboard

holding shift > crouch slide into bullet jump > mid air glide while aiming and shooting > second jump and continue sliding after landing, either that or go for melee slam while still in air etc etc.

I'd feel so crippled using a controller on this game. especially cause I use vectis prime a lot and especially in the plains now im jumping in the air a lot and making shots. or when fighting an eidelon teralyst dodging its abilities while taking shots at it is hard enough as it is but with controller would feel impossible

And see to me I’m not sure my hand would feel comfortable doing that with a keyboard and mouse. On a controller I can do it just fine though. It really just comes down to how you have trained you muscle memory.

Same with whether you invert your view or not.

Lucky in this day in age most games come with a variety of controls to make it just how we all like it.

huh. yea I suppose if you're used to it its fine. what I imagine is trying to have full use of the right stick while being able to use X/Y/A/B with no issues. I've played warframe on console a tiny bit, but I forget what all the controls are

keyboard. literally zero competition.

Kbm. No aim assist, and keyboard has all action tied to a specific key vs menus and button combos.

keyboard mouse feels best to me. tried controller but it felt like my hands litterally rejected it. my hands got all tingly and i had to put the controller down. felt fine after playing keyboard mouse for a bit. i swear my hands just reject controllers for some games...

Its the movement system. Too many combinations to bullet jump and glibe and shoot all at once.

Yeah for more complicated missions or when more precise timing is needed keyboard and mouse all the way. But if I'm just relaxing and not doing anything hard then controller is fine.
