Low MR weapons to keep

What low MR (5 or less) weapons are worth keeping, that people might use even after having the better ones like MR 8+

Got Cronus who's rare-ish but it's pretty much worst at everything then the heated sword i just got. So wondering if there's any i should keep for some reason or just keep upgrading for new higher MR of the same type.

I do know some are needed to craft other weapons, so i'll keep those in mind.

Ya know what? That's pretty cool, man. I can only imagine what chat looks like when you roll up with "trash" weapons.

I think it looks pretty much the same when you queue up as ivara on eidolons and then end with the highest damage lol

There are certain low level MR weapons that you will need to build other weapons with.
Just check the Wiki before selling a specific weapon and you should be fine.

I have 6 Forma in my Mk.I Braton.
Mk.I Kunai can get a Syndicate mod/proc.
Mk.I Paris has decent Crit (until you get the Dread)

You realize that the MK1 weapons are generally worse than the "regular" ones, right? The only exception is the MK1-Kunai which has a higher crit damage multiplier (which only really works on Harrow).

Personally, I kept Seer. And used it regularly until Kuva Seer became a thing. Now I roll into sorties and eidolons with a Kuva Seer and giggle as people rage at my "noob gear" while i carry them. With a Seer.

Before I got their variants, some of my favourites were the Vectis, Nukor, Vasto. These days I still like using the Sonicor, Ack & Brunt, Orvius, and Ripkas for its amalgam mod.

As already said i just want to second "Keep what you like".

Even if a weapon might be used as ingredient for another, its not necessarily that much of a loss.
In the beginning your slots are rather limited anyways. Later when they are not getting them back is likely no effort at all.

That said the only use i have for my MK's are some clan internal challanges everynow and then limiting equip coices to them and starter frames ;)

I like to use a complete dozen forma Nova complete with catchmoon lighter and all.
Just to slow everything down for them, watch them murder those level 30 grineers and have fun.

melee weapons, the same type are usually very similar. Guns less so: consider boltor (full auto, slow rate of fire, projectiles affected by gravity and travel time delay, direct damage (not crit themed just high base damage) ) vs say grataka (full auto, high rate of fire, hitscan, requires crit mods to work well, etc). Very different: its the difference between a tommy gun and an uzi and an AK -- all similar, but very different.

There are only so many ways to wave a longsword about. Melee weapon stances help here, but even so, meh. I have stuck to staves and polearms which have a nice quick attack flow that hits what is more or less in front of you consistently. Their attacks are not any more varied than other types; they just don't do the wtf miss on the guy right there in your face.

it doesn't matter what other people are using. use whatever you want and keep the weapons required to build other weapons. anyone who brags about using low level weapons is just a sad no life with nothing else to their name. no one cares what you use in a mission, only how fast and efficient its done. that said, some weapons will require multiple steps to build. for example: the twin basolk requires the atomos (which is a great secondary) and the dual zoren, a melee weapon.

Hmmm. I can solo Terry with a Volt wearing Umbra Intensify and Vitality and a Rubico with like 2 or 3 forma. I just made MR 12, so as soon as I complete my Rubico Prime build, I'll be using that.

Do people just dump ability strength on Ivara, all the crazy mods on her bow, and just point blank the limbs?
'Cause, if so, I think my Jelly Prime is gonna have a new profession.

galatine is a great melee weapon, although other melee weapons are almost always good, as melee is pretty strong right now.
