anyone know how to make it so i don't switch back to my gun when i right click?

its been this way for a while and i was talking to a few of my friends as i noticed a small bug with my game i am auto blocking this still with out holding right click and when i right click i switch back to my gun so any thoughts on how to fix?

Pretty sure that's not a bug, that's so you can aim quickly after using melee. If you want to switch manually, you'll have to press and hold your weapon swap key (F by default, I think) to switch to melee mode.

He just told you. You are doing "quick melee", good for just swiping a few times before swapping back. What you want is to "equip your melee", which is done by holding weapon swap like he said.

If you keep switching back to your gun when you right-click, you didn't switch to melee properly. If you do it properly you should see your melee weapon glint, and the only way to go back to guns is to press your swap key again.

i know that that is why i was asking to see if anyone had a fix for me as i pull my zaw out and if i then right click i switch back to my gun

all of those guys up there already gave you the right answer:

there is quick melee: a button to switch instantly to your melee wep.... if you aim it switches back to the last gun.

this is what you do all the time.

if you hold the wep switch button though, you will equip your melee wep. this will take a second, but then you can block. And you have to press the wep switch button again to take out a ranged wep, which also takes time and is no instant action like the quick-melee switch.

this is what you never did.

do it. hold the wep switch button.

i know that i do hold my f key to switch

it only happens when i have my melee out as i have been trying to see why i don't have to hold right click to block

as all my friends have said they have to hold right click to block

also i have said more then once that i do pull my melee out fully

it also happens with both my excals so how do you expain that as it happens after i use his 4th power witch puts you in to melee mode like holding f does

No, you have to hold F after using Exalted Blade to enter "full" melee mode. There are two separate melee modes - "quick swap" melee mode and "full" melee mode. "Quick swap" mode has auto-block and instantly switches you back to your gun if you press the aim, fire, or reload buttons, while "full" melee mode locks you into melee until you press the weapon swap button again. You can tell which mode you're in based on your targeting reticle - when in "full" melee mode, an extra set of brackets appears around the outside that is not there in "quick swap" melee mode. The old "quick melee" no longer exists, pressing the melee button while holding a gun (or casting an Exalted melee ability, like Excalibur's 4) transitions you to "quick swap" melee mode, where you use normal melee combos but can instant-swap back to a gun when desired. Holding down F (the weapon swap button) causes you to enter "full" melee mode.

as my key has always been e to melee if i had a gun out i never changed to soo that may be the issue i need to refresh my key bindings XD

now you got it.

this all happened because this game was built on several different (melee) mechanics that got enhanced and updated as time flowed by. it is like 2-5 systems in one...

todays patch for example forces archwing weps in quick melee only. there is no more full wep swap for arch-weps.

this fixed the arch-melee system completely and we have the classic melee-homing-strike effect back, the one that titania never lost.

it takes time to understand all the changes.
