Will I get ban ?
I did hear some player said that you will gat ban of you trying to trade large amount of "plat" without placing Raven Mod.

This is the case. My friend get a 50% offer coupon. Then I login his Warframe ID through my steam and buy the 4300 "plat" bundle. Will I get ban if I trade with my friend ?

1 - suspicious trades may be reverted, players are only banned if they enter the negatives due to ingame market use after the trades
2 - it's common for support to sometimes review trades done years ago if they suspect something
3 - always make legitimate purchases via the main website or steam, never user 3rd party sites
4 - never exploit the discounts by using your friends, alt accounts or any other method
5 - don't encourage the behavior

Since some players clearly don't get the idea and like to recomend game violations that will end with OP and other players banned, i need to report the topic, sorry OP, but your topic is already getting posts that only harm those that play the game.

Ive done it a couple of times when ive bought packs multiple times and all I traded for my plat was a warm coat, not been banned. btw sites like kingui n are excelent for grabbing cheap packs. and before anyone chimes in half the time its the developers selling the packs on their for a few extra quid.

This one is an example, it's better that a mod closes this

All trades that are unbalanced are instantly flagged for manual inspection, it will be up to support to decide if the trade must be undone or not.
Your idea of placing a riven mod is a tipical solution created by black market dealers and that does not work, it doesn't matter if you trade multiple times, place a riven or create other convoluted trading scheme, it's flagged and then they decide if it stays or not.
Past trades, your general behavior ingame will determine if the support staff will decide to let the trade stay, but if any of the parties do something unusual and support will simply assume there was a purchase for platinum, you may deny it and claim it was a fair trade but they won't care, they can do anything with your plat, because that's how premium currencies work.

Logging in into another player account intentionally to exploit a discount is no different than having 2 accounts in order to get 2 chances at a discount (so that any of the 2 can get the benefits after trading), will result in a ban.

You may be asking, but most times, ppl ask just to get a validation that whatever they are doing is ok, when players reply otherwise you will most likely ignore.
With that said you will potentially ignore the warnings, you will exploit, you will abuse the system, you will make an unfair trade.

My sugestion is both of you getting prepared for what's comming, check out destiny 2, it may be a nice alternative once both of you are unable to play.

Me and a friend of mine have given my other friend who is new to the game lots of starter mods and in addition to that some prime sets while all he gave in return was a redirection mod. 2 weeks later and still nothing happened to us, and my friend is happy with his new limbo prime and mesa prime
Sorry to tell you but your Account will soon be gone :theskull:
I got two 75% discounts in the last month. Not worth the risk of having your account banned.
It goes as RWT wich is bannable yes.
One of my friends were trading platinum in the same way using the discount 7 or 8 times so far.
Guy is sending money to him via PayPal (for example) and then they have a trade in dojo. Without any account sharing.

But yeah, do it at your own risk.
I did it a few weeks ago. Friend got a 75% coupon so they bought some plat then traded it over in exchange for a collection of rare avionics. Nothing bad came of it.

Those are far from unbalanced trades, are you really comparing mods and prime sets with thousands of plat and a riven mod, the trades you did likely never got flagged to begin with and if they did, it's likely they found it to be ok.

Exploiting and violating the TOS only has 1 end and when it happens you literally have nothing to defend yourself

Trade all the in-game items you want, for nothing at all.
This is about premium currency. And if you had traded a Redirection for 1000 Plat you can bet you'd be staring down the barrel of a ban eventually, or best case a reversal of that trade, probably resulting in negative Plat, and a ban. So either way.

But in-game items? Do anything you like with those, pretty much.

Yet. Potentially, and realistically. Some people it has taken months before they have been gotten around to.
Just because you trade something doesn't make it a legitimate trade. If moderators looking at it decide it's not...well.

Short answer. Yes
do not use 3rd party sites to deal with plat or accounts

if you do so, DE banns, which is legal and have to be done that way

if you buy plat legally with your cash/paypal- or bankaccount for whatever account via warframe-platinum site its legal because it follows worldwide economy rules and you support DE's offer in the most clear way

easy to understand, isnt it ? =)

You can buy packs on amazon... Steam is a 3rd party you can buy packs off steam... [/quote]

Glad you mentioned that, I found DE Put the game and other things up on amazon for $100, which gets you:

~ The game (which is free)
~ 1,500 Platinum
~ 150,000 Credits
~ 20 Random Mod Cards
~ 10 Rare Mod Cards
~ Lightning Dash
~ Retribution
~ Mobilize
~ Rush
~ Firewalker
~ 5 Exilus Adapters
~ 3 Day Resource, Resource Drop Chance, Affinity & Credit Booster's

If that is legit, then that is kind of a new one from DE.

Yes, it is technically bannable offense, so try not to do it in the future. Third party websites are also not endorsed by DE, and plat from those can be from stolen credit cards, so avoid those as well.
