Primed blunderbuss
Would DE ever add primed blunderbuss? i would do anything for more consistent hunter munitions on my shotguns

In the meantime, run with an Adarza kavat or Harrow built for Covenant, see those crits popping all day without the high cost of a Prime mod. I also suggest that one rare shotgun mod that came with the Jovian Concord, gives like 100% crit chance from landing a double jump or bullet jump.
People complain about that feeling awkward, but I find that doing a bullet jump and immediately aim gliding for a moment to cancel its height is easy enough. Just a simple quick right click tap after a bullet jump.

I've had a Corinth Riven for a while so I've been looking forward to this. The only major drawback of the Corinth was the low fire rate which has now been mitigated so this should be a new go-to weapon for me.

Everyone wants something from the game. The devs can't go and ask every single player what they want and implement all those random, conflicting changes.

i dont know what conflicts de adding a primed blunderbuss
shotguns aren't a very strong weapon type anyway with the recent shotgun changes

i still don't understand why people should use an underpowered shotgun when i can just use a weapon like the chakkurr and kill and 170 exo officer with 1 headshot. Multishot doesn't affect the alt fire of Corinth despite you can see a wrong damage increase in the UI and there aren't Primed faction mods for the shotguns
BTW i have 2 rivens for the corynth, crit chance crit damage, maybe some is interested because i don't waste more forma on useless weapon anymore.
I think this guy is right, shotguns needs primed blunderbuss and Primes faction mods to be au pair with the new weapons.

what people fail to understand that critical chance is far more powerful on shotgun than most other weapons.

simply because you fire 20-30 pellets per shot and statistically at such number you will always get a consistent buff from critical damage.
Meaning high chance to get that viral damage buff too.

Unlike Chakurr where it is less reliable, less projectiles, less chance for it to level up to expected critical chance.

While I would like more critical chance, I think shotguns are pretty damn powerful as they are, you just need to have a tad or creativity to use Viral in your build because of how that proc works.
Chakurr sucks when fired from hip so it has a huge drawback for your movement.
Hits hard but it's a terrible weapon with terrible drawbacks so comparing shot by shot from chakurr and any other weapon is kinda dumb, apples and oranges.

Lastly, shotguns have their total status chance in the realm between 200% and 300%, it is absurd how fast you make targets suffer with procs and that is their power now, stacking procs.

New Primed mod is expected soon but I doubt it will be a Primed Blunderbuss, it just makes no sense imho cause shotguns still work very well. I say that because I use them, Corinth, Exergis, Strun Wraith, Astilla. They are no longer overpowering everything as they did and I can understand the nostalgia for sure, but do you want one weapon class to flat out outpreform everything? If you do, just play Kuva Bramma cause that outpreforms everything already.

If shotguns need a buff - more critical chance is not a way to go because how broken Hunter Munitions is and it would only buff some insanely well while others not so much because of HM. Addressing spread and falloff would probably do a way better job to level all the shotguns.

Corinth Prime's secondary fire is a flat nerf compared to regular one, damage is ♥♥♥♥ on both but regular one at least has multishot to it so multiple status was a thing, this is just meh when compared to it.

Do you know i almost try every possible configuration and weapon in the simulacrum? The only decent shotgun is the (kuva)khom because it has high crit, status an slashes but terrible ammo economy and falloff and seriously i don't even consider it a shotgun.
The kuva bramma has insane damage and AoE but it has a ridiculous short range, it's not able to kill an high level destruction corpus fast enough without ivara.
The main advantage of status shotgun was the ability to tatal remove the armor dealing more damage with the fire proc, now they are not able to do that anymore.
Even a cernos prime can kill a level 160 demolyst machinist with 2 or 3 headshot(using ivara buff) the corinth or the bramma can't.
If someone needs a shotgun he can just use the redeemer prime.
