Is the Dex Darka actually any good?
I have been playing this game for a reasonable enough amount of time and through most of that I have been using the Dex Darka.
However, I decided to look at the stats of the Nami Solo (A different type of melee I know) and it seems to have better overall stats.
Is the Dex Darka any good for mastery level 5 or are there better options?

It's a good weapon if you're a newer player but as you get better weapons it will eventually become obsolete.

I've heard that it is, or can be one of the better dual swords, I guess check the Wiki, like everything else in Warframe.

I guess with that I will ask another question: Should I rely on the wiki?

If you enjoy using it, that's what matters. It's a game and have fun.

But if we look at the "power" picture, then the Dex Dakra is MR fodder.

For example, the Dual Ether has higher stats in every category.

For the most part, yeah. It is rarely innacurate and usually pretty detailed, so if you have any specific questions on how something works or where to get something, it is a good first stop. For something more subjective like this it isn't as good for, but you can at least compare stats between other weapons.

What is MR fodder?

Without giving too many spoilers, you'll get a really good sword at the end of the War Within Quest. That sword is going to help you tremendously until you get weapons like the Gram, Galatine, Orthos or their Prime variants.

Also worth mentioning that in Cetus you can craft custom melee weapons that can be really OP depending on how you build and mod them but they may be a little out of your league right now (assuming you're playing solo).

In order to increase your Mastery Rank (MR) you must rank up weapons, Warframes, companions and archwings.

XP from weapons and such only count towards your MR when you rank them up to level 30 the first time. Resetting the weapon rank with a forms will not grant more XP. So a MR fodder would be lesser weapon that you acquired solely to increase your MR and then sell later.

Be careful not to sell weapons that are parts for later weapons. Some weapons are built using other weapons, and if you sell them you'll just have to build them again.

Also I've heard that some weapons are only available to you once. Maybe don't sell those either.

I assume the wiki would have info on if a weapon is a part for a later weapon?

Yes, it will.

Here is a list of weapons needed to craft other weapons:
