What scum, punishing sellers for "bad plat" when they know they have no way of distinguishing between good and bad platinum.
Hello GunnerVier,
Thank you for contacting us. You were found to have received a large amount of Platinum and/or gifts from a known black market Platinum re-seller, who has been permanently banned from the game for this activity. Because the Platinum you received was fraudulently obtained, it was necessary to remove it from your account. For any gifts you might have received in the same manner, the item(s) were also removed from your inventory.
We attempted to identify and reverse as many black market transactions on your account as possible. If you believe that the transactions listed below represent all the Platinum/gifts that you have purchased from the black market, you should not notice your Platinum balance being affected any further. However, if you have made other black market transactions in the past, future investigations could result in those trades/gifts being reversed, and the Platinum value being removed from your account.
2017-07-27 12:12:08 UTC - You received 470 Platinum from the Platinum re-seller account DeuzExMech.
2016-06-06 15:29:22 UTC - You received 500 Platinum from the Platinum re-seller account Freemason33 .
2016-06-04 11:23:52 UTC - You received 250 Platinum from the Platinum re-seller account Fiztgrats.
2016-05-10 14:47:09 UTC - You received 405 Platinum from the Platinum re-seller account DERPotatoes.
2016-04-06 17:05:50 UTC - You received 1000 Platinum from the Platinum re-seller account ---ForTheFirstTime---.
Note, purchasing in-game items from other players for cash is a violation of the Terms of Use/EULA and your account could be banned from the game for engaging in such activities. You are being given another opportunity to play, however, because you did not have enough Platinum to cover the full amount that was removed -- your Platinum balance is now in the negatives.
Your current Platinum balance is -2616.
To restore access to your account, you will need to purchase enough Platinum (from a legitimate source) to bring your balance out of the negatives.
As a courtesy to you, we are offering to reverse any cosmetic-only purchases that we find on your account. Any Platinum restored to your account will help to reduce your negative Platinum balance. Please let us know if you want us to proceed.
Please be aware that if you purchase Platinum using a Steam DLC Pack, we will need to put you in contact with one of our Billing CSRs who will assist you with applying the purchase to your account.
For future reference, we strongly suggest that you avoid unbalanced trades or trades that appear to be "for free" as these are often connected to compromised accounts or other fraudulent activity. Unless the contest or giveaway is from an official Warframe partner, you cannot trust where the Platinum is coming from.
Please note, if you are found to have participated in black market activity again in the future, your account will be permanently suspended from the game with no chance to restore your Platinum balance and continue playing.
As stated in our Terms of Use, you as the account holder are solely responsible for resolving the negative Platinum balance on your account.
Thank you for your understanding.
I agree, like how the hell am i supposed to know where they got their plat from.

While we understand that you have no way of knowing (or maybe you did and you simply didn't tell us, it is your word we have afterall), at this point i'm not sure if you are trolling or not, you seem to skip by a fair share of comments possibly intentionally since they don't follow your entire mindset of blaming DE
The forums cannot help you, contact support to reverse cosmetic purchases and/or pay for said cosmetic items.
There is no exploit to get them to stay and having you continue to play the game at the same time.
I see what you're getting at and i'm sorry for the missinformation i may have said. I panic and am hotheaded easily so i may have missed on some information whilst reading. And i'm not blaming DE entirely for this, i mean they wouldn't have known whether these transactions were legit or not. I'm sorry if it looked as i was pinning the blame solely on DE. As for the other i solution, i've been considering on whether to do just that.
Honestly, the Irony of people coming on the forums every single time with their negative Platinum is becoming annoying.
There is nothing people can do here than look what is written down and it always ends in a response from DE that you gotta pay.
Nothing can be done on the forums, I am sorry for your situation OP.
Just be honest and explain it best you you can and see what they say as you have nothing to loose really. I had something kind of similar happen to me in a different game and they thought it was cool that I took the time to outline the situation and of course fell upon their mercy etc and the company actually waived the entire amount which was like about $50.00 U.S. Dollars.
Of course if your really guilty as alleged and want to continue withe the game legitimate, pay the bill and let it be a lesson learned and move on... idk, just a thought?
thanks for the concern, initially i came here just to figure out if anyone had any idea on this sort of problem , because all my friends never got this sort of ban and i was mostly afraid that my account got hacked and some dude used a stolen credit card to buy stuff with my account and transfer it to his/hers, honestly i was just looking for some insight on what was going on, never really thought this would escalate into this sort of matter.
yea, i've been considering on what to do in this matter, probably save up enough money to buy back my account or lessen the load by refunding the cosmetics. i've sent out an email to DE thanking them for their assistance and that i'll be contacting them again should i ever want to refund my cosmetics.
well to be fair, it wasn't their fault as well, they used legit plat that they bought, but i can't say the same to the plat that they got from trading, perhaps they got some "bad plat" and didnt knew and i was the one who wound up with them in the end. they might be lying sure, but i wouldn't wanna break friendships because of a trade that happened nearly 4 years ago.
Just tell your "friends" to pay for the damage or report them to the police, I dunno how it works in your country, but scamming is a felony.

as i said in a similar reply
Prone to abuse, DE would be giving a different treatment based on purchases (mean players would achieve a true snowflake effect) and would encourage the buying and selling of accounts, some of which compromised unintentionally so they could be used as a sure way to bypass negative plat balances.
Asside from a generalized biased treatment and exploitative measures, do you have an actual solution?
yeah, delete the plat but don't put someone in deficit or lock their account when they have no way of determining if plat is "good" or "bad".
