Exploiter Orb Return Date

So, I only just finished with the fractures, and it's doubtful I'd be able to grind out all the Hildryn parts before the event is over. Does anyone know when the event will return? Or can the Orb be fought even after the event is over, as long as I still have Thermia?

Steve says it is gonna have same frequency as Ghoul Event on PoE, that is about every 2 weeks.

You definitely have enough time to grind her out before the event's over.

Nobody knows when it will return except DE, of course, but they did say it would return regularly, similar to the Ghoul Purge and Plague Star events on the Plains. As for being able to access Deck 12 after the event's over, they haven't said, but we have our fingers crossed on that.

What is limited are old events that cannot repeat because of lore issues.

New events that make sense to repeat all the time are not really limited, I do not see the problem in not obtaining EVERYTHING in the first run - if we did that then there would not be many reasons to play this game after 50 hours or so

Guess im the odd one out, never liked time limited stuff in games.

I see your point, but the event will probably work like Plague Star for Cetus; meaning it will show up 2-3 times a year for a week or so per visit.

It's not a bad concept but this is the first time a Warframe has been locked out if you don't happen to catch the event on time, so I can understand frustrations related to that. If Exploiter dropped blueprints for weapons rather than Hildryn, then it would be just like every other cyclical event or event boss-fight in the game.

If you have diluted thermia, you can run the boss fight after the event is over.

It says so. On the original update page, original update notes, original forum update notes and the original in game ones as well.

Oh, is that true? That's wonderful to hear. Anyway, I just fought it for the first time, and as someone who's never played the old Trials, it was the best boss I've ever fought in this game.

That would be acceptable as well, for how often ghouls overstay their welcome.

As far as I understand it, the Exploiter Orb fight only requires that you have Diluted Thermia (The stuff you get from doing the Fractures) to start the fight inside Deck 12.

I believe that the recurring event part will be the Thermia Fractures in order to get Diluted Thermia, while one can organize a group to fight Exploiter as long as one can activate the fight with Diluted Thermia at any time.

No one knows exactly how it works, but so long as one can start the Thermia Condensers in Deck 12 with Diluted Thermia the fight should always be possible, meaning you just need the diluted thermia and a touch of luck to get Hildryn's parts.

Just because they made it an event, doesn't means it isn't going to be critisied. Quite frankly, it's bad implementation of it and hasn't got me to even bother with the "event".

Correct. Red text just confirmed that before hotfix being launched now.
Thermia won't dissapear and anyone can start the fight outside event time. Fractures will return as a recurring event for more thermia re-supply :)

The only difference between running it now and running it later is that currently there is a double resource bonus on vallis right now. After the reset in two hours from now, that double is going to end. So only 1 lazulite per kill, and half as many resources dropped from the orb. Or at least that seems to be the likely change.
