Get mag, she is pretty good in the right hands, Nova is situational, a lot of people dont like if you slow down the enemies, or give them more speed, mag can strip shield and armor, restore armor to you, has insane CC with augments, and without it aswell, you could try to use a magnetize build, just google it, its pretty simple, and if you play right you wont have issues with dying no matter where you are

I'll say Nova.
Her 1. ability gives her damage reduction to health even though it fails hard at everything else. Great nuke and slowing/ Speeding enemies makes life so much easier for the team.

No part of this statement is factual.

Mag can provide choke points, and wide scale, hard CC along with armor stripping and shield restoration. Nova provides crowd clearing, enemy speed manipulation, and travel assistance.

You are likely going to want them both at some point, but they fill very different roles and neither is useless in any sense.

Anyone that says Mag is useless is either an idiot that follows what everyone says, or has no idea how to play her. Great damage, CC, Armor/Shield shred. How many times I have out damaged frames like Saryn with her is funny to me because everyone looks down on her even though she is amazing in the right hands. So in short, get them both. There is literally no reason no to. People say Nova is much more meta than Mag, but I have seen Mag firsthand be the most useful frame on the team many times.

No reason to not get both eventually, but I think the general opinion is that nova is basically a better frame (I'm bad with both of them).

I'll throw my vote in for Mag. As said defence stripping is a plus and another minor thing I like about her is the aura polarity as it matches the weapon ones.

Strip defence, boosted weapon damage = easy win. Only down side is her low armour and EHP so she gets 1 shot often.

I think it has something to do with her lower health and armor in echange for higher shields, people just hate with passion shields in all forms, or maybe because for a starter frame she is newbie unfriendly.
