If looking in the market in your Orbiter... click the "Blueprints only" checkbox on the bottom right... you can buy blueprints of stuff with credits.
A common problem is that the stuff in the market shows all currency as Platinum to new players and doesn't inform you of non-platinum weapons.
This is one design flaw that I hate in this game. Before Market was changed all platinum stuff and blueprint stuff were in their own category. Information where to get clan weapons isn't obvious either. All that information could be right there when you select the weapon in the Market but instead you have to notice Info button and click it for more information.
The only things you dont have access to through farming are cosmetic items, they can be only buyed with premium currency which you can buy for money ... or farm yourself!
How?
Thats because there is a prime parts economy, where you can sell/buy your farmed prime parts for premium currency, which can be quite profitable (On warframe market).
Conclusion: Not p2w: 1. As I said before. 2. The PvP part of Warframe is a hot mess, dont bother with it till it got reworked, which is probably never.
And then there are consumer created cosmetics, which you can buy only for money. If you like the creation consider buying some of them, quality is top and the creator gets his fair share. If not: skip.
Also weapons aren't everything, mods matter as well, so even if you theorhetically bought the best weapon, you would still need the mods.
So all those crazy looking skins I see on other players are store bought?
People who follow the meta and just buy the power end up crying due to no "end-game" for their overpowered builds they bought... basically they bypassed the game by paying .. the game itself is the loot grind.
It is the journey... think of it as taking a trip across the country and back... it takes a lot more time but you can drive and camp your way and see tons of stuff... or you can pay for a plane ticket, do it much faster and wonder why you took the trip to begin with if all you did was sit in a plane.
all you can get still from playing the game.
And if you wanna pay to rush you can just can get the plat from selling your stuff.
All can be get from jsut playing the game it self. (besides a few cosmetics )
about fashion frame (thats just a happy joke.
skinns mostly cost plat what you can get from trading. and some cost real cash 30% goes to the designers (called tenno gen) even thoose you can get for free if steam store merchanting.
but skins aint game play if you ask me so you can play it totally free.
to be honnest this is one of the best free to play looters around last few years.
it can you cant like it but there concept to let people play free all content. non is lucked behind cash gates.
