Same for when I’m looking to buy for above average price.
I find it pretty cheap to bargain for 5 platinum if earning those takes couple of minutes.
I value people's time so when I buy stuff from them I buy by average prices. There is no bargain there, they got the thing, they earned it trough their dedication and they deserve whatever is the price for it. Warframe.market has statistics where you can see the average price of bought and sold things so there is no scam and reliability is high.
Same goes for me, but I even offer for a bit less because I am aware that my economy is strong enough not to care to get every plat out of what I have.
I do not even respond to bargains from players who are like Mr16+ - like you have ability to earn everything and if you are such a cheap ass that you want to feel better if you saved 5 platinum on your 300 platinum purchase then kindly go ♥♥♥♥ your self with a yard tool.
Not because I care for 5 platinum, I don't, I just do not feel like trading with such person.
I give stuff to free to newbies when i see their profile and what they have, random people, I give TONS of stuff to them and never see them again. I'd rather give it all for free to newbies than any of it to cheap asses who nickle and dime over everything just for the sake of it.
When newbies ask for something I either give them for free, or throw in some extra, and a lot of it, augments for weapons or warframes they play, even arcanes from time to time....
Also, spending 20 minutes on trade chat just to bargain up to save 10 platinum when you could earn twice as much if you actually played the game does not make you look all like a smart person but a cheap one, game offers so many places and options to farm stuff for market that apart from newbies I really do not see a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason not to trade by average prices. And I even offer below that.
It is a free market, this is just how I do it tho.
Certain bargains do make sense and I did not say I do that to all bargains, I just feel like if person wants to be cheap to bargain over my already lowered price then they do deserve to waste more time on the market trying to save that big mountain of 5 plat.
Maybe one day they realize they could have been playing the game and enjoying it and getting stuff that is worth way more than those 5 plat.
Price is usualy determined based off supply and demand with the rarity of the item or mod. Condition overload has a really low droprate 0.02% BUT is farmable on an easy planet so just takes time. Not more than 60 plat would be fine. Health conversion is simaris and just takes time no requirements no more than 30 plat. But I do think haggling prices is fine. I usualy set a price for argon scope and maiming strike at 200 plat. And I'm willing to go down from that but nobody ever tries to even ask for a lower price. They just say too expensive and leave. Selling super high is usualy a riven thing. the "GOD RIVEN 3K CHEAP" bs that we see sometimes. But making a profit in plat is more or less the only way to get things without grinding for weeks or relying on luck. I'd blame the game design not the people adapting.
