Profit taker solo tips?
I tried it, and concluded that archwing guns are ♥♥♥♥ and barely do any damage. Natural fix to that seems to be Chroma, which I'm currently formaing. Any tips on build, or alternative frame choices?

Chroma.

Radiation/Cold on your Archgun.

Chroma with a high duration and strength build on with hunter adrenaline or rage on.
And nullifier arcanes.
Take you best guns with you, with as many elementals as possible.
Also be using the vazarin's protective dash ability.

only issue i have going solo is being swarmed by mobs that stagger me, i think that's the biggest issue i ran into, damage isn't that hard even if you have sub-optimal damage type on your arch gun, like i do (i still need that stupid electric damage mod) only takes 1-2 shots with the arc gun to drop the legs, and the shield goes down fast enough. But the adds are a huge issue for me with a group solo i imagine it would be worse.

Edit: and that's without a chroma

Any frame that doesn't stagger, so Rhino is a good choice since Iron Skin negates damage and he has Roar to boost damage.

It's not enough to get me to try and solo it though, can't deal with that levels of stagger.

Solo I always go Nezha.

energy build, lots of pizzas

Imperator vandal chews up the legs quick and easy as well when modded up.

keep your distance, use the terrain, stay on high places

You need good archwing damage as last stage is timed (5 minutes).

The biggest problem I had attempting (never successful) was the short range of archwing guns (grattler) meant you couldn't use terrain to avoid the huge damage the orb put out.

Tanky frames are a must, Rhino, Nezha, Chroma right arcanes etc. as even a few hits from missiles will do 20k damage easily.

But if you take it slow and disengage often to 'heal' up it can probably be done as only last stage has a time requirement and the orb doesn't regenerate.

Nekros with shield of shadows helps solve both the stagger issues and swarming issues.

Imperator Vandal or Fluctus would probably serve you better than Grattler. Falloff would be less of an issue with Imperator while having high speed for focused fire. Fluctus has lower falloff, but works better for handling enemies.

You'll still need ammo restores and occasional energy.

A number of frames can survive the encounter fairly well. However You may find yourself lacking on damage.

To me, only CHroma does the trick., Other Warframes can make the run but struggle to take the shields and health within the last 5 minutes. Umbra Mods, Rage, what ever capacity left on duration and some strength. Heat Chroma 4 me.

Madurai school (Vazarin if you are having survivability issues).

Opticor for Puncture, Blast and corrosive.
Euphona Prime for impact, Magnetic and Gas
Glaive Prime for Slash viral and Radiation (quite weak but I don't like approaching the Orb mother to melee it)

Adarza with the mod that restores Warframe health when the Kavat Hits (give the thing Maul, Bite and some more dmg mods, it'll often kick your health back to 100%)

Never stop moving, either around the Profit Taker or moving away. Once in a while make sure you move a long distance away from the mobs and put Effigy between you and them.

There is no reason to not go after the Corpus Beacon, it takes priority over EVERYTHING in the fight. Allways take it out.

Velocitus will often one-shot the legs if your buffs are up.

ps.: CHroma Prime comes with so many polarised slots you don't even need to forma him, I mean it, I use the Umbra Mods without having a single forma on it.

Here is what I use for my solo (no death/no pizza/items) runs with the orb and do pretty solid on time.

Saryn P built for power STR and Tank.
Lenz critical build for explosive
Aklex (with riven) built for corr. and heat. (Also deals solid puncture)
^can replace with a Tombfinger + Haymaker sidearm; will do just as much damage with the right loader of choice regardless of riven’s.

Melee = irrelevant (IMO although I guess you could try-hard a redeemer prime in there)
Imperator vandal with 2 (or maybe 3?) forma built for radiation and critical (with critical focus mod on it)

Saryn's 3 (toxic lash) gives that extra oomph with toxic damage.

Just cycle the shields based on what you don't deal and hit with what you do. Slap a regen molt down when health is low and make sure quick thinking, hunter adrenaline, max vitality and primed flow are on to synergize that well.

I've got an elemental dash incorporated in my build for playstyle reasons but here it works wonders to relocate when mobs start ganging up in one area although void dashing to a new location works just as well.
