Caz's Investment Strategy (Feb 1st-7th)

It's way later than I meant to compose this, but here are a list of things in the player market to look for, suggested prices, etc for using the market to earn platinum. If you haven't exhausted your trades for the day, you haven't finished investing for the day.

Your daily trades have a value to them, so buying components of sets to flip/sell said sets around for a profit is perfectly acceptable. Take inventory off of people's hands!

To start with, you will want to minimize the amount of time you spend sitting around, waiting for someone to come around, because I'll be honest: Getting >25% over market value unrealistically for some part, and waiting around for someone to take advantage of, just sucks, for everyone. Get your inventory moving and you will feel good.

Go to warframe.market(third party website and beats the heck out of trade chat) and place a buy order if you have a set price in mind, in fact, set your offer price just above what others are paying. I will advise you on the exceptions to this.

This list assumes you have taken high-school economics, at the very least.

Based on current supply and demand:

Buy:

Rhino Prime Blueprint 140p(moderately easy to barter to 130p.)
Rhino Prime Neuroptics 40p(easy to barter to 35p; I've gotten for 30p enough times.)
Rhino Prime Systems 65p(most sellers expect 70p, but you can get away with as low as 55p.)
Rhino Prime Chassis 65p(same as above)

Mesa Prime Blueprint 10p(Best idea: farm it)
Mesa Prime Neuroptics 20p(leave buy order, you will get it within the day.)
Mesa Prime Chassis 40p(30p possible via trade chat, due to expedient trading.)
Mesa Prime Systems 40p(difficult to barter, but try it anyways.)

Argon Scope 80-120p(extremely frugal investment; the more you can get, the greater the return.)
Primed Continuity 20p(seen it at this price, just woah!)

Sell:

Rhino Prime Set 330p(Too low? Do the math, you at least profited at this price point!) 20-60p return, given that you barter wherever you can!

Mesa Prime Set 140p(Offer more than this in trade chat! People who put WTB will likely bite!) 30-40p return

Eidolon Lens BP 22p+ (place sell offer, there will be buyers at 22-24p. People often buy multiples.)

Retain:

Argon Scopes
Primed Continuities
Ember Prime Blueprint
Frost Prime Blueprint
Ayatan Anasas(unless you sell for 20p each and absolutely need the plat!)
Tigris Prime sets(selling too fast for too little! High demand with strong supply!)
Soma Prime sets(super high demand item! wait for market to shift in your favor as seller)

You are turning the game into trading for plats, which takes time away from playing the game, among other things. I guess if you really enjoy amassing virtual in-game Warframe bucks just for the sake of it, okay then.

That other guy mentioned in the thread who made 200K plats--if he cashed out and paid bills and put food on his table, then okay.

i make around 500 to 1400 a day by just trading mostly buying up set sell of months later.
farm around play the game and buy some rare parts to complete the sets making it worth it.
most of the plat i use to buy stuff with come from jsut mods you get playing around btw

i dont have to max out trade limit ofc on the mr i have .

but again just minning the planes can get you over 200p a hour

effy game play isnt all about trading spec when people play it in there spare time for fun.

I really don't understand the point of your comments, guys. I set up sell and buy orders and that takes all of 10 seconds, then get back to the game. Eventually someone sells, someone buys, and I run out of trades. It takes less than a minute to trade a player with an item they probably absolutely need - these are items for consumers, not traders/flippers.

"wasting time" is the problem, I agree, that's why this is how you waste less of that. Go farm Plains bounties for lenses, and come back to me after the 4hr self-deprecating grind that it is with a number of obtained lenses. You could simply not do that, and buy/sell/buy/sell using Warframe.market. If you haven't used it before, I don't blame you for going "Hurr! Don't trade! Waste of time!"

Yep, me and the tons of cosmetics I can afford now, that I actually never thought I would be able to(without real $), laugh at this sentiment. Ciao.

If you trade through a market and aren't wasting your time, then well done. For me, small trading is fun. I traded a rank 8 Blind Rage the other day for 200p to an MR6 who said WTB X in trade chat and then I asked him how much and he gave that price. I enjoyed that whole transaction and went back to playing. If you want to seriously accumulate plats and trade for its own sake then doing it your way is better for sure. I have enough guns and frames as it is for now that I have to force myself to use so that my MR goes up every so often. I guess it all depends how into this game you want to get. Do you really want all the guns and everything you can get with plats or can you have fun with what you have and accept that you will not get everything.

Also that is exactly how it works, did you notice how when each prime weapon gets announced and everyone buys rivens for it that riven prices skyrocket? That is how market works, Bullet Dance skyrocketing? Not working like that at all.
