Is Oberon Prime any good?

He need a few set of mods to be potent and tanky, namely Hunter Adrenaline or Rage so he can keep healing while receiving damage and Phoenix Renewal for death prevention. He plays the role jack of all trades as he can damage, CC, heal, and buff all at the same time. His abilities synchronize well with other.

Oberon is good at doing everything (healing, cc, damage, remove armor, status immunity to allies)

A reliable tank if you slap rage and use his healing and his weed to deal with radiation sorties.

That's it, even his healing could still get you killed but an augment makes you live if you happen to die.

You rely on your weapons to deal damage and CC at the same time.

The real question is if he's any fun. And that's totally for you to decide. Never listen to the people that say this or that is garbage. Almost everything can be made powerful enough to decimate the majority of the game. Once you start doing things like endless missions that last for hours and you start seeing mobs with absurdly high levels, then you'll see a bigger difference in power betweeen items and frames. Sorties, Kuva Flood, Elite Sanctuary Onslaught and Eidolons can all test you too but you still don't have to be as picky as some people would have you believe. Take what you like playing, forma the crap out of it and have a blast.

If only it were very easy to get Oberon, to see how it is.
One would assume Oberon Prime would play just like Oberon, only slightly better.

He's fantastic. An excellent support with side ability to facetank a train and capable of producing some pretty impressive damage. The only thing I don't like in Oberon is probably his passive and his Prime.

Hes pretty good. plenty of AOE to kill little things while offering healing during bigger fights. Though if I'm being honest his aesthetics are the best thing about the frame. That antelope helmet and hoof feet are awesome. I use him as my generalist frame when I'm bored of Inararos.

its as good as oberon. Have you made & played the freebie version? Its a well rounded supportish frame.
