The only limit is how many slots you decide to get. People like Quite Shy have over 100+ Mags for instance while Tactical Potato has probably over 200+ Hydroids by now, so really your only limiting factor is your slots

There is no limit to how many slots of ANY kind you can purchase, aside from Riven mod slots being purchasable up to a total of 900

Since it wasn't clearly answered here.

There is no limit on the number of warframe, weapons, pets or sentinels you can have.

There is a barrier to how fast you can acquire them all.

The first is crafting time.
The second is that you have to purchase more slots beyond the starting lot.

Since you can earn platinum in game without spending money it's only a time requirement not actually a limiting factor before you can buy more slots.

10 pieces of prime parts you don't want can be sold in trade chat for 10-15 Platinum. And a warframe slot costs 20 platinum, the rest 12. So 30 minutes of work. Maybe 1hr as a new player.

To answer your edit, which is incredibly easy to figure out yourself, the default amount of Warframe slots everyone starts out with is two.
