Is there a way to kill or dismiss a converted lich for their weapons?

I hadn't hunted any liches in a few days and got the "convert" and "Kill" buttons reversed. I was in the middle of an interception mission when I killed my lich and was kind of rushing to make sure we didn't lose (also I'm blind so quickly reading isn't my strong suit), so I converted him when I meant to kill him.

Is there any way I can fix this mistake?
I think trading them to someone and then trading him back isn't an option. I believe a lich can only be traded once for some reason.

I did a similar mistake. I converted a high bonus lich thinking I already had a higher bonus weapon. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do. I even asked the support and this is the reply I got.

Unfortunately, once a Kuva Lich's fate is decided, it cannot be undone. I can only suggest that you hunt or trade for another Kuva Lich.

If there is anything else you need of assistance, please let us know.

well that sucks. It's extra annoying that someone else can hunt the lich for the weapon but I'm not allowed to. I'm also not a fan of trading. I only do it when I really need to, partially due to being blind (it's a lot of chatting back and forth at times and some people are very impatient and easily bothered, usually ends up being a less than fun way of interacting with people) so that response from support is pretty unhelpful.

It probably wouldn't be so annoying if converted liches were actually useful in any way at all. There is quite literally no point in converting a lich at the moment, they are less useful than a majority of specters you can summon and they only show up randomly.
As it stands I don't think it's a crazy idea to let people dismiss a converted lich to gain their weapon. But since you can't do anything with converted liches and that whole aspect of the system seems less than half baked, I guess I'm not surprised.

Just asking...so you spent who knows how many hours getting relics for the requiem mods, then spent from 2 to 5 hours just doing lich quests randomly?

No a Friend was helping me because again DE tells you almost nothing in game about how things work they ask you to use the wiki instead of having it in game. My friend was not on when I converted the liche and with no ques in game as to what each option is I converted. simple mistake any new player could make. Yes I messed up but a simple text box saying this gives you the weapon and this give you a companion would be nice or let us kill the liche after the fact.
