Enemies a bit strong (fortuna)
enemies are supposedly lvl 8 but they give me a harder time than lvl 60+ enemies on my excal umbra? anyone else having trouble with these guys?

Granted when your "wanted level" is up there all manner of nonsense is happening all around you including the giant enemy crab bombarding your general area, the inclusion of Jackel type enemies, turrets shooting explosive blue orbs with a powerful magnetic proc and lord know what else.
Some Corpus enemies also seem to be equipped with Opticors and Arca Plasmors, which are just straight up powerful weapons in their own right, so there may be instances where the spike damage from those baddies are getting into the mix.

which enemies?
I had the opposite reaction, actually, and found the ones I encountered a bit underwhelming. But I've only just started and havent done enough yet.
So maybe they get uber-tough as you go through?

which ones are you referring to?

Sometimes they deal a ton of damage despite their level, I noticed it mainly at the gate defending part, lvl10 enemies hit like lvl50 ones.

I see what you mean about the randomness. My companion keeps getting one-shotted. Think it is intentional? or a bug?

The corpus was always more powerful than the grineer, but yeah the gate defending part was a powerhouse.

Well I believe there's some sort of GTA-esque "Wanted" mechanic. If you look next to the minimap? I believe so, there's four diamond symbol. Every now and again while fighting, a corpus will drop one of these pole looking things into the ground and one of the diamonds will turn into a starburst symbol, and I'm pretty sure that makes the corpus swarm like hornets on a can of two-day-old soda. Maybe the wanted system also ups their damage a bit?
Too strong? Everything is TOO EASY....

The corpus on fortuna use Arca Plasmor

Bear in mind that Fortuna's enemies are Corpus. They rely heavily on shields now, which can put a damper on your damage output, unlike the Grineer in PoE who relied more on armor.
