Best Frames?

I'm a beginner, and I want to start planning on who to get for my best frames. I only currently have Excal and Rhino. Meanwhile, Frost and Oberon are currently building in my foundry. Can you guys suggest frames for:
-Best Solo Damage
-Best Group Damage
-Best CC
-Best Support
-Best Tank

Single target damage? For a new player that's Mesa. She's tough to farm though.

Mesa works for this also, but Ember is much easier to obtain.

Nova is the best starter CC in my opinion.

Since you already have those, you can play Roar Rhino and Oberon with Smite Infusion.

You should not yet decide on a 'best' frame.
Your individual play style will mean that certain frames and weapons will be more fun.

Finish the star map, do missions as they appear.
Play some with a group, play plenty solo.

Build frames as you get the parts, if you enjoy playing with a frame, add Froma and perhaps a potato, same with weapons.

You need to build new frames and weapons (and level them both) to gain mastery.

I've got 9 frames unlocked, I probably use 4 of them regularly.

So for me:
Best Solo damage - is a weapon, not a frame (Paris or Redeemer)
Best Group damage - also a weapon combined with a frame (Gara with Sonicor)
Best CC - Mesa, Limbo (but you need to know when to NOT use cataclysm)
Best Support - entirely mission dependant
Best Tank - currently having fun with Rhino, but also Mesa and Oberon


But I'm only a newby at mastery 12, I still have lots to learn.

Oberon can cover all of those points pretty well, although there are frames who are even better at some of those points. In the end not many frames are really that specialized, they're usually versatile enough to function in at least a few roles. Your goal will be to find a frame who fits a playstyle you prefer, but with that said, there are some good roles to find frames for

Defense is one role Frost is good at, although you might get better mileage out of Limbo, Khora, Gara, or even Hydroid.

Looting is another role, useful for resources or survival. For that you'll want to look at Nekros, or Hydroid and Khora if you pick up their loot augments (notice how I listed them again, here?)

Another role you'll probably want a frame for is stealth, specifically for Spy vaults. Good frames could be Ivara (your reward for "mastering" spy vaults), Ash, Wukong, Octavia, or any other frame who is good at avoiding detection (Banshee can avoid making noise, technical stealth)

And just make you a favour, don't watch stupid video reviews online, they are just there to attract traffic...
This is the reason why every frame with an A+ frame ask me why i can go to arbitration level 500+ easily dealing 99% damage against corpus and 0 damage received.

Stick with Rhino and focus on getting 12 MR & weapons. Once you've done that, just watch this and decide for yourself basically:

i would recommend Rhino, Ember, Frost, Nekros and Loki mostly Rhino though cause he has an ability to shield himself from damage.

also Nekros has an ability to make enemy's drop loot and Loki has an ability to cloak

Warframe isn't really the kind of game where any of these questions matter. Just grab whatever you think looks cool. If you absolutely must play the meta, then grab mesa or saryan, they'll nuke everything, but because of how the mastery system works, you're going to be playing everything sooner or later anyways, so don't get too hung up on playing "the best".

I started with Excal and Frost became my second frame, with Oberon being my third. Personally, there are no frames that can be considered the best in the game. Just build every frame you find for the sake of fun. That's what I do.

just pick the one who looks the best in your opinion and your journey will be much more pleasant

build everything based on what u like ( playstyle, looks, fun abilities )

u will need to learn how to grofit thou, cus otherwise everything will take ages
