This game needs an auction house.
I'm tired of my offers getting swept away in trade chat, as well as pricing rivens wrong consistently. Would it not be more efficient for the natural flow of capitalism to sort these things out? people will pay what they are willing to pay, and that would sort out the issues of it being hard to price rivens. It might also bring down the price of horrendously inflated items due to sheer rarity rather than usefulness, and bring UP the prices on things that aren't making money but should. And then there's nobody screaming BUY MY HYDROID PIECES in trade chat. Trading should still be a thing, that's true, but an auction house would make buying and selling things for plat so much SIMPLER. And before you ask YES I'm a little salty that I can't sell anything for a good price. and I don't frigging care that warframe.market exists, nobody is ever online when you want them to be even IF they say they are online. Please do not bring it up, I hate that site immensely.

I KNOW THIS EXISTS. I'm talking about an IN-GAME LIVE thing that you don't need to constantly babysit and hunt for people who say they are online but aren't. we shouldn't need an external bloody site just to find people who will give a good price for something. An auction house will make sure you ALWAYS get the highest amount you can for an item, rather than have people say, "Well it's not max rank even though it would only take 3000 endo to max, take it away peasant." I want this site obsolete essentially.

how to ruin warframe's already shaky economy in one simple step

you can put warframe.market ingame, thats fine, but doing it like crossout or ebay would be an economic nightmare. your rivens? worthless. that prime set? worthless. arcanes? worthless.

Use the filter "wtb".
Congrats, now you will never see someone who is only "wts" something to you. (Unless they also use WTB in the same message.

Also, https://riven.market/ :sbwink:

How so? Because if people pay what they are actually WILLING to pay, then we get a better idea of what the riven is ACTUALLY worth, or the ARCANE is actually worth, aside from some arbitrary number someone sets up in chat.

I want to be able to put a posting up IN GAME, forget about it IN GAME, come back and be like "Hey, this sold for something!" rather than bloody advertising it every five seconds IN GAME, have nobody ever look at chat because everyone's trying to sell and nobody wants to buy in my experience, putting it up on a site where nobody ever is on when they say they are, and never see a single piece of platinum as I dissolve the mod in frustration.

thats fine, as long as its not handled like a certain *other* game where it was so bad and hurt the economy so much they where forced to remove it

Maybe a player shop where people can constantly see what you are offering rather than getting drowned out in chat. Set it and forget it, maybe get plat out of it, that sort of thing. It works in minecraft servers, it works in runescape, the only diff here is platinum is a tad bit more valuable.

imo trove handled it perfectly, only potential problem is a monopoly on certain items, but since raids are gone I dont see that happening

this is a good point, de would need to change the plat model as a whole, which they may not like

Something like this- a menu BUILT INTO THE GAME where you post an item in your possession and what you want in exchange for it, galatine parts, platinum, opticors, what have you. People can use this menu to search for an item they want. they see something they like, great! They buy it! If not, then it sits there for people to see as opposed to the person actively having to go "Aggressive salesman" on people. No annoying negotiations, no people going all wishy-washy that they want exactly XY and Z out of this mod or weapon, and best of all no interaction on your part!

Maybe we could have at the very least trade chat broken into three different chats, want to buy, want to sell and want to trade, and each one results in a kick for using it for the wrong purpous

I'm sure you realize a system such as this would really kill one of the signature (and charming) features of Warframe.
DE would never put work in a system that takes away human interaction AND is already being taken care of for apparently free (yes people may patreon the .market guys obviously, but it's free for DE).
People may choose to use wf market, but not everyone likes it.
Forcing an "auction house" system on every player would simply make the game offiicially P2W since only plat aquired through payments woud be relevant in an economy where most mods are 1-5p.

I'm like 0% charmed wasting hours and hours haggling with incredibly rich people who aren't all that interested in what I've got for sale, same with flipping through tabs and junk to sell things (and also losing the ability to play the game while selling, either responding to .market sellers or standing around a relay holding things above your head)..

Daily trade limits + uncomfortable player-to-player selling = more incentive to just give up and buy platinum.

protip: The people who say they are online, but aren't, are price fixing. They make up they have an item and list it at a ridiculously low price in order to try to drive other prices down to compete. That's why they don't respond. They don't have the item, but want to appear online so that their price affects the other prices.
