Is it worth spending plat on the Tigris Prime set, or is the regular Tigris fine?

Exactly what the title says. I've been wanting the Tigris for a while now, but I'm not sure whether or not I should spring for Prime. I don't want to upgrade the regular Tigris, then get the Prime variant at some point in the future, making the forma and whatnot I put into the regular Tigris useless. What should I do?

Its got 1560 vs 1050 base damage and a V and a line polarities vs none.

For around 80 plats id says its worth it (but id still get regular too just to feed mastery ranks)

Get the regular Tigris first. Lots of people don't like it because of its firing mechanic. After you find out if you like it, then sell the normal one for slot for the prime one. You need the regular regardless because of MR points. You can also get Sancti Tigris from syndicate as well.

From the looks of it, your MR isn't enough for Tigris Prime nor Sancti Tigris. So settle in first with normal one.

Tigris Prime is 13, Sancti Tigris is 12.

Yes status Tigris is the second highest dps primary in the game, second to opticor with a god cc/cd riven which would cost at least 3k plat. Very good very op weapon

Yes. Besides it tears through everything the game throws at you, expcept Eidolons, its one of the few weapons also capable of insta-loading a Nova's AD. A statement of its damage-spike potential. And that without Riven nor primed mod.

If you can get used the duplex firing, yes.

It's easily one of the best weapons in the game - it's not good for crowds, but when you see an enemy that absolutely, positively, conclusively, unconditionally must die right this very second, it can't be beat.

If you have enough spare plats then any vaulted prime is worth it.

As for the Tigris itself, the Sancti Tigris is a pretty strong contender to the Tigris Prime.
It really depends on your feelings regarding the Tigris:
- If you're a huge fan, then go for the Prime.
- If you dislike spending most of your time reloading the slight increase in reload speed of the sancti makes it less annoying.

Yes. It's significantly more powerful.
